PR Newswire reports that in anticipation of the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, a four-minute CGI Lego special, Raiders of the Lost Brick, will premiere on Toonami at 9.0PM.

Yes. It's four minutes long.

For over three decades now, animation fans have been quietly counting down. As first John Lounsbury, and then Les Clark slipped away. Followed by Woolie Reitherman, Milt Kahl and Eric Larsen. Then Marc Davis, Ward KimballFrank Thomas. And today word came out of Sequim, WA. that Ollie Johnston -- the last of Walt's Nine Old Men -- had passed away at the age of 95.

CN pulled the rug under us with an unexpected schedule change. Blue Dragon has moved to 10.0PM, and Bakugan has been removed. What's airing at 10.5PM?

Sooner than we thought. (UPDATE)
A few quick schedule notices:

1) Bakugan debuts on Toonami THIS SATURDAY at 10.0PM.
2) Blue Dragon debuts on Toonami NEXT SATURDAY at 10.5PM.
3) The Naruto movie will encore again NEXT SATURDAY at...7PM?!

Yes, the Naruto movie will be airing at 7PM on March 29 instead of Goosebumps and CN's scaredy-mutts. Now, to answer your obvious question: "Does this mean a return to four hours, or is this just a one-time shot?"

~~We honestly have no idea at this point. The Zap2It schedules haven't updated far enough yet to clarify anything. We'll just have to wait and see.~~

UPDATE: It's just a one-time special. Toonami's not returning to four hours. The same old business resumes on April 5.

I can't believe I forgot to remind everyone about this. Sorry this is late.

Although Toonami won't be celebrating its birthday this year, Cartoon Network will still be doing something nice for us this weekend. CN will be temporarily bringing Studio Ghibli back to its lineup by premiering Howl's Moving Castle this Sunday at 7PM.

Saved for another year.
20th Century Fox has announced that the live-action adaptations of the Dragonball franchise have been delayed till April 3, 2009. The reason for the delay was due to competition of four other films being released on the same weekend (one of these being the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars).

Fight for Toonami!
I normally don't do this sort of thing here (we're mainly just the news guys), but considering the recent schedule changes being made to Toonami (see yesterday's story) and its reduction to almost nothing, drawing the ire of fans nationwide, this is important regarding the future of the block.

TICA co-founder Jeff Harris started a campaign at The X Bridge called Revolution 11. It has contacts for CN and the people in charge, as well as a list of demands. If you're sick of the way Cartoon Network has been treating our favorite action block as of late, go there now and call for change.
