Post subject: Linkin Park Animation
|
|
|
|
Yeasterday Linkin Park premiered their music video to "Breaking The Habit" off of the four-times platinum realease, Meteora. Directed by the groups Turntablist Joseph Hahn, who chose to showcase his love for japanese style animation by doing the whole video in just that. For scenes with the band they wer filmed in live action for source footage and then redrawn. The animation was done by famed studio Gonzo known for such series as Blue Submarine No.6, Hellsing, Full Metal Panic!, and the recent hit Chrno Crusade.

This video actually premiered on saturday. Anyway, yes it was a great video, as I happen to be a great fan of Linkin Park as well as anime.
Another little fact. The video had a second director (whose name escapes me) who had previously worked on the Animatrix and Kill Bill (note the same animation style). _________________ The only truth that realy exists is the truth within the mind of the individual and the way the individual sees the world... |

I like the style. Deffinitely not for everyone though. I know some of my friends would see it and go "That's pretty cool" and others would go "That's crap. It sucks. Not just the song either." _________________ anime is teh s uck

0_0 you only got it on Saturday? We've been having it on our music channels for around a month...Yeah, it must be that because I saw it on my birthday and that was May 4th.
But I like the video, just not the song after halfway through...
EDIT: Just a thought, any of you spotted Dragonball Z in the background of Christina's 'What a Girl Wants' music video? ^^ It's a huge poster on the wall in the studio where they're dancing. _________________ rednekbob9: 1: You're Female

I'm old, so I have to say that I think Pearl Jam did it better... _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

I saw it. You have to look close. IT's huge, but they never hsowcase the poster. Only show it in bits and peices. And you'd only know what it was if you were an AVID fan.
I love music videos. Anyone seen Float On by Modest Mouse? It's all animated-y and one of the best I've seen in a really long time. Of course, Franz Ferdinand's new video, New Found Glory's new video, and even that video by the Bumblebees something or other are all really good too. Not anime, but animated and different (yet similar sort of) styles. I think they're awesome. _________________ anime is teh s uck
