I'm currently 15 years old and a Sophmore in High School. That's as much information about myself I've ever given to anyone in one dose online, because I'm a paranoid freak.
For reference, I joined the TDA at around 13, and that's why I say I'm younger than most of you when people ask. People have guestimated my age at at least 17 years of age (when I was 13), so I consider myself mature enough to talk about mature topics. I was close to being an Eagle Scout, but I realized that doing the Project and "learning leadership" is not going to have any desirable impact on my life. Sure, it'll help me get a job later on, but I'd rather be commended for being smart than "a leader." Plus, the version of leadership they ask for is not one that I appreciate. The only kind of pedagogy that I would support is teaching them to think independently. Thus, I can only lead people away from myself. The other type of "leadership" I can see is giving advice, and there ain't nobody who can stop me from doing that.
As a result of this, I quit Boy Scouts shortly after earning the last required merit badge. There was nothing else to learn. [edit] Oh, yeah, and as of Monday, it doesn't matter anyway. 18! W007![/edit] _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.
