I just saw a TV spot for Spirited Away!
This is the first ad I've seen for it, EVER!
If I don't get snowed in again, I'll go see it. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Yeah, you need to see this movie at least once if you have any bit of animation appreciation in you. The artwork and cel shading stunned me half to death. Plot wise, eh, it wasn't BAD, and there were some funny parts, it just wasn't something I particularly look for in a movie. Although, it was pretty trippy, and trippy things are worth watching . . . _________________ anime is teh s uck

bah; we already have a spirited away thread from only like 2 days ago. Yay... it's coming to my town for a second time. I didn't see it the first time and I won't see it again. Not that its bad; I just am not going to see it in the theaters... on account it's not playing in a theater I can get in free. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

This time, I will be seeing Spirited Away. I was talking on the phone with my Dad a couple minutes ago. He mentioned it and said he would love to see it. So, were bringing the family to watch the film. |

ooh, nice. it's nice to hear it when families go see animated films together-- especially when either a. it is their idea b. they are enthusiastic about the idea. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

if it actually makes it to a theatre in my area, i'll try and catch it this weekend...last i checked though, there was nothing within an hour drive...
[pointlessly edited 4/2]
just came from the theatre, where i was one of five people who saw it...the animation was beautiful, and it was made even better seeing it on the big screen...
the movie itself was alright, even if it was made for a younger crowd...still, it's worth seeing if playing in your area... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

I loved the animation, the plot was no Cowboy Bebop but was really good for a PG rated movie. All in all, I like it. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |
