Dad's getting me a stereo to replace the factory cardboard in my Truck. Otherwise, I'm just asking for gift certificates to my favorite anime outlets for this coming spring/summer when what I really want comes around for sale. Saikano and the Candidate for Goddess manga.

Don't waste your time and money. Ten cents in mylar and ten cents in helium isn't worth ten bucks. And like any mylar balloon, they eventually start to deflate. But yes, they appear to be fun... for about ten minutes.

What I want:

7 swans a swimming
An X-box
Five CDs
Led Zeppelin-How the west was won
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended Editon
2-hundred dollars for the car
and the Return of the King game

Goldfinger: Nope, don't play guitar. But I want to learn. I took piano lessons for 8 years though, so it should make learning easier than for most.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is dead.... Rudolph took a .44 and shot him in the head..................

All I want for Christmas- an IPod, a digital camera, TT special edition, and a little money. Just the necessities of life.

We should sing.

For CP: Yes it's true having any musical background help a HECK OF A LOT when learning a new instrument, I've been singing ina a professional setting my whole life and just being able to read music, have beat and rhythm, and knowing notes and thoeryand all that good stuff really advanced me very quickly.

For Zechs: That looks like a great bass, I didn't think that you had that kind of price range, my price range is usually like (less than $200) but I make do. If you're lefty that's another thing. I have several lefty friends that learned to play righty, because it's so much cheaper buying a righty guitar/bass, you have more selection. Also, what are you gonna do if you're over at a friend's house and you wanna play their guitar(and they're righty) you can't do a thing unless you have your instrument always on hand. Learning to play righty is WAY more convenient, however, if you already learned lefty then don't bother, it'll be a nightmare.

peace

that my friend is one sweet-looking bass...

i can't really help much with suggestions, because i've been a washburn fanboy since i first picked up the instrument four years ago...i've only fully owned my "lyon" model 5-stringer and it's held up fine through getting banged around the last 3 1/2 years...

[added later: found a few good shots of my girl here]

i've fooled around on a few fenders and liked how they felt and sounded, but i can't say i've ever picked up a yamaha bass...if they have the same solid reputation as their keyboards though, i say go for it...

Yes Yamaha basses have good price and good sound, even their more economic , under $300, models are very good sounding. You might also want to look into Jacksons and Ibanez, my friend got a sweet Ibanez cheap.

peace

Any idea what I should look for in an acoustic guitar? What's good, what sucks, not necessarily namebrand, but like, attributes. I have literally no idea.
