I was waiting for Roger Rabbit 2. Guess this is how Im going to get to see it. That looks funny. Good group of stars to.

It should be interesting to see how the animation has improved since Roger Rabbit. Though not having Mel Blanc vocals always hurts the new remakes.

The movie has Brendan Fraser.

I hate Brendan Fraser.

I hope Wile E. Coyote drops an anvil on him.

If he doesn't, I will cry.

Brandon Fraser will be better than MIchael Jordan. Fraser for one is a much better acter (if you dont believe me listen to the unused cuts from the gatorade commercials). and I'll go into more about it all later.

Fraser is horrible. Everything he was in was pure crap.

George of the Jungle and the even worse Dudley Do-Right gave two of my favorite Jay Ward characters a bad name (though I did like John Cleese's performance as an ape named Ape). Blast From the Past was just a mere generic love story used as an excuse to get some money. Monkeybone... Don't even get me started on that. (The trailer alone had me hospitalized for months.) The Mummy and its sequel were the only decent movies he was in, but unfortunately, his acting was awful in those two movies.

If they give Fraser a good torture scene in Looney Tunes: Back in Action (which I, of course, hardly see a possibility of that happening, because the censors will most likely tell the director to "think of the children"), or if by some miracle WB fires Fraser from the flick, I'll definitely give the movie a chance. If not, well, the movie's fucked.

well, daikun's really got his panties ruffled by fraser. He's not that bad, I thouroughly enjoyed George of the Jungle and the Mummy Series (He played them with the perfect amount of camptastic cheese). Monkeybone and Dudley Do-Right both, I agree, were beyond horrible and unwatchable.

I'm glad your letting one person ruin for you what could be a good semi-animated movie and not letting the classic characters with enourmous screentime, hilarity, and pressence possibly have a chance to sway you.

Way to go Daikun, way to be close fucking minded on the Looney Tunes! YAY! (as I said before Michael Jordan is THE worst actor ever. I bet you went and saw Space Jam)

Yeah, I saw Space Jam. I agree that Michael wasn't too great, and the mysterious appearance of that Lola character was...weird and unexpected (what was with that?). But I personally found the movie somewhat enjoyable. (It was sure nice to see Bugs Bunny kicking some ass on the court again...something he hasn't done since some years earlier with that "Hare Jordan" commercial from back in the day.)

And I'm not closed-minded about Looney Tunes. They're the most kickass cartoon stars than anyone else. I'm just closed-minded on you-know-who. I'm still seeing Back in Action anyway...just so I can cheer on the LT characters and shout out death threats whenever said you-know-who's ugly face appears on the screen.

Oh, yeah. We also get to finally see the ACME Corporation for the first time! WOOHOO!

Well, I liked Space Jam at the time it came out, but, I don't know that I'll like this. All the newer Looney Toons stuff just isn't the same. And now that Chuck Jones is DEAD, it never WILL be the same. Rather than having the creative freedom to take the characters where they lead you, the characters a stuck in a mold, are told to act THIS way, and are scripted by people who grew up WATCHING the toons, rather than MAKING them. Big difference.

Jones' boss once told him never to use a bull fight. Bull fights weren't funny, he said. So Jones went and did a cartoon with Bugs fighting a Bull. It became a classic, one that just about EVERYONE remembers. Jones was good at what he did. I have very little hope in this movie. But that's just me.

It still proves CP's point.

How so?

Let's see. Chuck Jones didn't work on Space Jam, and CP liked it. Chuck Jones STILL won't work on another movie just like it, and now he feels disappointed, just because a man who didn't work on it before still doesn't work on it? It's not like it's going to affect the movie if the man had no involvement in it in the first place.

Without Chuck, the animators for new Looney Toons projects have no "touchstone" or senior advisor they can turn to for help or inspiration.
But whether Chuck Jones is alive or dead, worked on Space Jam or not, is beside the main point, which is that "All the new Looney Toons stuff just isn't the same" because the people making them aren't allowed the creative freedom to explore any new directions.
And I agree. Space Jam is dull and unimaginative compared to the classic stuff. IMHO, YMMV.

I said that I liked Space Jam at the time it came out. This was way before I even know about Toonami, meaning I was about 10 or 11 at the time. Meaning I knew nothing about animation compared to now. Meaning I didn't even know who Chuck Jones was. Meaning shut up and listen to what I actually say rather than jumping down my throat. None of the Looney Toons stuff has been good since Chuck Jones stopped working on it. Period.
