I'll admit it: when this first aired on Toonami way back when, I hated it. My sister loved it, though. I don't think I gave it that much of a chance, but now I will thanks to it being uncut.

That's very interesting. I had the same reaction with Big O.

I didn't like Big O when it first came to the States; it just felt wrong watching it with its weird edits on Toonami. When it came back on Adult Swim, I was able to appreciate it more in its uncut form.

Its now that I know what I'm in for and just how long this show is, its just going to be a drag to get this show going again. Yeah the Hidden Mist arc is ok but this show's plot won't really start kicking in until the Chunin Exams. then of course theres filler hell to look forward to.

Ugh SOOOO long. just wish they'd skip to uncut shippuuden already, those episode deserve to be uncut after what Disney XD did to them.

indeed Disney X D took The second chapter of Naruto and threw it under the box , I guess the same thing could be said about Disney x d marvel shows as well.. But that is another story for another day..

If Tom, Sarah & the rest of the toonami gang can get the rights to the second chapter of Naruto aka Naruto Shippuden then it will ratings gold for the saturday midnight run..

Looks like we'll get to test that little theory of yours in January. Wink

Hey, guess what, guys!

Naruto is restarting from episode 1.

Don't wanna watch this past year's worth of episodes all over again? You can always watch it on Neon Alley or through DVDs.

As for why they're restarting Naruto from the beginning, Jason DeMarco explains on Twitter:

#toonami fans, so I'm not doing this all day: we were allowed by partners to extend our ORIGINAL Naruto deal (52 eps) for a second run.
Continuing from where we left off would have been prohibitively expensive.

Basically, it was get Shuppuden/re-run Naruto or continue...
with new Naruto eps, but NO Shippuden. The choice was clear.

That's the first and last time I'll deal with that here so please do not ask.
IN SHORT: You can't have it all, and neither can we. But I certainly think 3 solid hours of premieres is a good way to kick off the year.

I Just wish that Tom and the gang would show all 220 of the Classic Naruto and show all of Shippuden for once, does Tom and toonami realize that Naruto and Shippuden are a gold mine as far as number of episodes go?

Of course they do.
Unfortunately, so does Viz.
