Zatch Bell is a new show that just recently aired on toonami. It's a show about a boy who finds this kid and a book. The book contains spells in which the kid can use. However he can't read all of them yet. This show i think is a spin off from pokemon. What is your opinion on it?

I'm actually enjoying it. Nothing new to be found and the plot is about as thin as my pubic hairs, but the characters are funny and the dub doesn't tend to annoy me.

My kids and I actually enjoy this show. The Toonami line up, IMO, keeps getting better and better. I am actually watching several hours on Saturday instead of a show here, and a show there.

i don't know about getting better they did take off YuYu Hakusho when it was just getting good and they took off Gundam Seed. Now they r just showing reruns of DBGT and Rurouni Kenshin. And ofcourse ur kids would like it because it is mainly a little kid show.

Taking of YU YU, was a minus, I never liked Gundam, but the additions of Zatch Bell, airing the DBGT lost episodes, and adding Batman, has me excited about the line up. That is a first. Razz

Actually I was just thinking the other day how bad Toonami is now... nothing like it used to be. I had hopes for Zatch Bell at first, but the first thing that came to my mind after watching a few eps was 'this is too much like Pokemon.' Add DBGT (the series that killed my love for DB, probably the worst anime I've ever seen) to the mix and there's not a good lineup for right now.

I have no idea why they took off Yu Yu Hakusho there, but that needs to come back... and as for Gundam Seed, that is one of my favorite series of all time, but the end was a bit graphic so I'm sure that's why they moved it. Still waiting on something good to come along... I miss my Saturday night anime goodness.

I like this new show, it does have some poke'aspects to it but at the same time the creatures spewing the lightning are not little rodents that can't talk, but actual people. I believe this makes it much better and allows you to relate to the characters better

I think Zatch Bell is better than Pokemon. It has a lot more action and the fighting is ten times better. To me Zatch Bell is its own show and has its own style.

I agree with that. I'm not a fan of the "collect little monsters and use them to fight other monsters" type of show, but Zatch Bell has a certain quality to it that actually makes it watchable instead of overbearing like the rest.

I don't think I'll be able to stand EVERY episode, but when I'm bored on the weekends and have nothing to do, this show is actually not that bad for a tune-in.
