Post subject: Final Fantasy: Unlimited - So cool, it'll make you say "

Hey! Yes, that's right. There's a Final Fantasy series that DOESN'T suck. Final Fantasy: Unlimited is a totally sweet anime that is so like playing/watching a FF game it makes me sick.....SICK WITH GIGGLY GOODNESS!
It stars this guy:
Kaze
These two suckas
This chickie
And everybody's favorite: CHOCOBO!
They are approximately 7 other characters I could detail, but these are the main ones in the episodes I've seen.
The story goes something like this: 10 years ago a freaky accident happened in the sky (See Episode 1 for exact details). Now, in the present, the two sucka kids mentioned above go on a search for their parents in a place called the Inner World. They meet chickie one (whose name I can't remember. Die. I'm busy.) who can perform feats of magic. They also meet Kaze, who has a sweet gun called the Demon Gun which he uses to kick everyone's ass. They travel around the Inner World, fighting people and meeting other characters all in quest to the Count, self appointed leader in charge of the Inner World. Along the way the kids search for their parents. Thus ends the DVDs I've watched up to this point.
I know this series is somewhat old hat to those he keep current with fansubs, as it came out like 2001-2002, but I think it bears mentioning. I have no idea if this series will be released in America, but I hope it is. The opening song is so awesome! I'd recommend standard download and begging procedures be put in effect. Or be like me and buy the Cantonese bootlegs w/ half good English subs, then go beg. |

Unfortunately you're right Spook. No offense, but if you don't get some brain cells i'll be begging for the unfotunate return of Cypro or The Bug. Oh and that series is one of the few based off a video game that is actually good besides Star Ocean EX of course ^_^.

They don't look alike to me St. and don't call me blind...or add unneeded obscenities. What next are you gonna say that Sony's Legend of Dragoon ripped off ideas from Sega's Panzer Dragoon series. Also, how about another fake pron link. Don't take this the wrong way St.

they both have eye patches and messy hair!! Are you blind! (hehehe, had to do it) of course they are the same design! EXACTLY THE SAME... on accont of the two simularities I mean event hough the rest is different... THE SAME!!!!!!!!

It was a joke that was meant to have faults, and mainly for Shinobo's amusement.

as far as anime goes, FF:Unlimited is pretty much "so-so"... I got pretty annoyed with the ever-present battle-victory music that played after every fight in the show... it got really old after the second time they played it...
Needless to say, when this was shown in the anime club at MSU, it ended up being replaced with episodes of "One Piece" after the third episode...

The only thing that annoyed me about it was that Kaze did the same thing every episode, sometimes twice an ep. to defeat the "bad guy" ::vibraty gun: it tells me to defeat you "i choose...(chooses vials)::blang::::boom::::bad guy dies:: "yay"(G-Gundam-like). I kinda like the battle victory music though, it gave me a laugh.
