So now that we've seen the little teaser for March 17th. To me it looks like all the clydes had some kinda baby igpx racer. Looks like we're leaving the baron space rock for city scape. Where's Tom? is that blue thing Tom? Will Tom become a sports caster for a bunch of racing clydes? Will Sara be a flag girl?
What do you people think of the new look, and what do you think it all means? |

| so what is TOM going to get another unexplained upgrade? man i was hoping that keep this as a permant thing but oh well. i look foward to the new look! |

The format of the block hasn't changed since 2004, and TOM has had the same design since 2003. Toonami just can't stick with the same thing forever.
Toonami has been known throughout its history to be an evolving block, and evolution hasn't happened in quite a long time. Something has to give.

wow 4 years? guess it has been awhile. well i hope they at least explain this time. |

They did.
It just wasn't shown on TV, though. You had to go online for the full story.

| I like the music. it looks kinda like an upgraded clyde of some sort. maybe they might air a new Total Immersion Event, like Intruder, Lockdown, or TIH. |

I would love that, but I doubt it. Now that Toonami is only on Saturdays it would involve either showing one episode for over a month, or showing one 30 minute episode which I'm sure they would much rather fill with another episode of Pokemon. Though the could do something on Jetstream.... |

Guess we just have to wait and see. I think this will be an interesting change, and I hope we get custom intros back. I can't wait to see what surprises Toonami has in store for us.

Both of toms designs were explained, The first was because of the red blob that ate him and the second was explained in a web comic. I never got to read the comic though...
Plus i like the recent clydes, They are so cool, The other two clyde designs were ugly. The first were those orbs with eyes and the second were those floating flat panels with faces. |

It may be the withdrawl talking, but it looked to me like Toonami was downgrading. From what I saw, it was a bunch of panels, or plates, or something on rods. Could Toonami be going for the old-school look, or am I crazy

Toonami's 10th Anniversary
On January 27, 2007, a teaser commercial aired during the Xiaolin Showdown marathon on Cartoon Network featuring close up shots of larger Clydes (the remote robot explorers that have been a fixture of Toonami since the beginning) along with the date 3/17/07 and TOM's chest emblem glowing blue.
Saturday, March 17, 2007 marks the tenth anniversary of the introduction of Toonami. Although Cartoon Network has been publicly quiet about the subject, it is expected that they will celebrate the block's anniversary with new packaging and possibly premiere new shows on the block that night.
i just hope that toonami will stay airing on saturdays. thats all. i don't care what happens if tom be renew or if a different robot is hosting,as long as toonami stay on its saturday airdates.the commercial seems interesting too. i cant wait til march 17.

And less than a week after this post it is announced that Miguzi will be replaced...The reaper works in mysterious ways my friend. Hope you enjoy your time in Japan.
But sadly it is not TOM who will kill the horrible undersea aliens..but the internet. |
