Yep, if you want the crappier laptop, go with Alienware over any Mac. Wink

well, not really nobu. If you want a portable gaming machine that will do everything but photoshop really well, go with Alienware. If you're an anal, prepy, artsy type, then get an Ibook.

Yeah, that AlienWare will be much better at collecting viruses and spyware than any Mac you buy.

In my experience, Alienwares are dandy. So are Macs. The only reason that I would buy a Mac over an Alienware is that I feel that my honor has been besmearched by Windows. I hate Microsoft for all of the agony it has put me through.

Aside from that though, I'd go with an Alienware. They're just expensive. But they're also kinky.

I was bored so i desided to build a top of the line alienware gaming system, total price: almoust $27,000. I was like Shocked . Before I tried to build the top line dell which had almoust the same harware and software that I put on the Alienware, the total there was less then half: about $12,000 with a 15% rebate. Shocked I wonder who will be crazy enough to buy that.

Somebody who wants a new computer instead of a new car?

And yet a new Mac fully loaded and with two [23 inch] monitors would cost $13,130.00

I just looked it up. I clicked on the G5 and cicked on the top model and then added EVERYTHING. I just went max cost on every option, regardless of whether or not you would actually need it for any reason. This includes having TWO 30" monitors. Keep in mind that one alone is absurd (yet oh so frikken cool . . .)

Anyway, total cost is: $17396.00

Add in Final Cut Pro instead of Final Cut Express, and you're looking at about $17,500.

And dear lord that machine would be the 1337est editing machine on the planet . . . *drool*
