Oh, and I think the jury's in - Kira is most definately a Newtype. Not only did he sense Rau and induce a Newtype reaction in him, he also became an emotional transmitter when he watched Flay die before his eyes.
I really didn't think much about that untill GSD 23...
And I didn't like Flay that much at first. But as the series went on she grew on me. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." - Calvin

Oh no doubt in my mind he's a newtype. Now, everyone go download Destiny for the continued adventures of Kira "fancy newtype" Yamato and Athrun "I blow up red gundams" Zala!

not much for me to comment on, other than i was psyched to see the rare TVPG rating when last night's episode started up...i'd like to think that cn is 'testing the waters', so to speak, with these two episodes to see if there's any backlash before perhaps trying this with future shows, but even if it was just a one-time deal, it was cool nonetheless...
i'd actually like to thank the cartoon network for airing all the episodes of seed, especially considering how much of a ratings dud it seemed to be while on toonami...here's hoping we get some word about the sequel coming to television soon!
my opinion of the series as a whole? the last twenty episodes were quite the ride, but the first thirty or so were, overall, very dull...understand that i'm not a big fan of the genre to begin with, and there were times when i was considering just pulling out around episodes 15-20, but i'm glad that i stuck it out...i was still disappointed that a lot of the genetic manipulation discussion on the macro level wasn't touched on all that much (besides rau's revelations to kira and mu, which was perhaps my favorite episode of the series): hopefully the sequel touches on that and the other social issues further...
speaking of which, my one major hurdle of watching destiny was having to deal with flay again, but it doesn't appear that will be much of a problem anymore...if cn does get the series, i'll be sure to watch it... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

Yeah, the series was a bit slow in the beginning. However, destiny picks up from the get go.
