I don't know if this has been brought up previously or not, so if it has, don't hunt me down and chop me into confetti.
The only thing I don't like about DBZ is: the blast the guy and make a dust cloud, "I got him". Dust blows away, guy is still there. "Oh no, I didn't get him."
It just gets a little old after the first hundred times you've seen it.
My question is: do they do that in the manga or just in the anime?

actually, a friend of mine and i came up with two laws to apply to dbz back when they aired the cell saga (though they likely apply to any point of time in the dbz universe)
1.) if a guy shoots out a rapid-fire energy attack, it will either not work at all or inflict minimal damage...the more the attacker believes the fight is finished after said move, the less damage it actually inflicts (if any)
2.) if a fighter cannot locate his adversary, s/he will always appear behind him/her...

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

heck I know less about the DBZ universe than most every I tthin DbZ is teh kewoolest newbs...

...i still wouldn't consider it a dbz question, per se, but i guess since it's aimed at those who consider "dbz" synonomous with "anime", it does it's job nicely...
