this as gotta be the hardest question that i've come across to in all my life...

i'd have to go with Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team, since it had the right mix of violence, romance, backstabbing, mecha science, and the reality of war.

08th Team all the way. It's still second on my list of best anime ever. (right after SaiKano, of course) I'm really disasppointed that CN didn't show the last episode. Most thoughtful and well-produced episode I've ever seen.

If I wanted to do that I would have put "Gouf strapped to the Wing Zero".

I don't see G Gundam, Turn A Gundam, or SD Gundam(late 80s or current).

the only gundam series' that i've enjoyed so far are the ones that didn't revolve around the mecha: 08th ms team and gundam 0080...it's a bit tough to choose between them, since i prefer 08th ms team, but 0080 has probably some of the best emotion in any television medium i've ever seen (animated or not)...

still, 08th ms team has great replay value, as i've definitely gotten my worth in collecting the series...0080 is something that i can only take once or twice a year, due to the emotional impact...

best in a one-shot would be 0080, but my personal favorite (and most enjoyable) would be the 08th ms team...

08th MS Team, followed by 0080, then Wing. The only Gundam series I own is 0080.

Gee I guess i'm the only person on the board that has yet to see 08th MS Team -_-. So because of that I shall go for my lonely vote of 0083, yes I know the story went downhill when they went out to space, but come on....nuking 1/3 of a fleet is an interesting plot point.

Dang, and to think the only Gundam I like is Gundam W(ing)...

I honestly didn't think I'd be in the minority on this, either, but I guess I should have given O8th MS Team another shot... not that it was bad or anything, it just didn't really do it for me...

...maybe I should put up a "favorite Macross show" poll up here...

In terms of mecha design, I think G gundam was the best. Afterall, Who could mess with the John Bull Gundam (Royal Gundam to those who only saw the edit) GO ENGLAND. sorry.

But G Gundam's story stank. THe best series for storyline had to be Gundam WIng and EndlessWaltz

My favorite was Gundam Wing. If you had ask about 2 months ago, I don't think I could have picked one. 0083 was also very good in my opinnion. I liked way the story was presented, the mecha, and the plot twists that showed up at just the right time. I need to rewatch it though. Gundam Wing took the clear lead in my book after I read episode 0. Knowing the background reveals things that you would have guessed at other wise. I just never got into 08th MS team. It just never hooke me. In any case G Gundam comes in at third, Followed by the original. On matter how much I don't like the other series, SD Gundam is definatly in last place in my watching order.
