Circular reasoning. I told you it's a quite different plot for the first seven volumes, so why aren't you taking my word for it and tasting the story?

It still seems like even that review was comparing it to the TV series, and some episodes of Pokemon look good compared to THAT.

Trust me, I actually used to watch the Yu-Gi-Oh anime on Kid's WB...bought some of the cards, etc...and while I do realize it is quite possible that the original manga is better, I can't imagine it being that good, either.

I know some Yu-Gi-Oh! fans that absolutely HATE the Kids WB anime.

Whether or not the original version and the edited version is terribly different is up to you, but I'm just telling you that there are many fans on the 'net upset at the changes made in the Duel Monsters anime.
