Devil Hunter Yohko!
Its funny to watch how it went from being a hentai to a non hentai 6-part OAV. |

Again another advantage to being a part of netflix. No need for box sets. Two of the DVD's are only 1 episode so Im not a big fan of that kind of thing. Even though disk 1 is 2 hours. The remaster turned out real nice. In some ways the series is showing its age. But overall i think it held up nicely. |
This Netflix thing is becoming more appealing to me...

Well he wins in the end by asking it the unanswerable question "Why". When I was in school this was the psyche classes final in 10th grade. Those who answered "Because" got A's. |
I would have gone with "Why not?" myself... _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Why not would have probaly gotten a good grade to. But people were doing these 3 page essays because they assumed thats what was needed. If i remember right only 2 got it right.
And as for netflix its $20 a month and you get 3 movies at a time. THey added a lot of new distrubution points. So my turnaround time dropped from 3-4 days down to 2-3. Just make sure they have enough of a selection to keep you interested. For whatever reason there very low on Gundam DVD's except for Wing. And there selection of Dragonball is suprisingly short to. But if you want obscure for some reason they have it.
Im not here to promote it. I dont work for them. I have been off and on with them for a couple years. I usally, like now, go through a spurt where I am constantly rotating movies. Then other times when i am stuck with a movie for a month. |

Okay watched the first DVD of Gasoraki. And for some reason I am just drawn in by this. The stories kind of wild. The animation is pretty good. But i had just intended on watching 5 minutes of it yesterday to see what it looked like. And sat through 4 episodes. I will say this. Its certainly an original concept. And now im looking forward to the follow up DVD's
Oh saw the commerical for Martian Successor. And thought I was watching a new version of Macross. Is it any good? |

Saw the movie for escaflowne. Havent seen the entire series. |
Lol, didnt like that. So much so in fact that I gave it away to a friend after I bought it.
Well the original Lodoss War is pretty good. Got that on a double dvd box set for only 30$. As for action I'd try
Full Metal Panic - A Mech/Military series with great characterization and plot. Action isn't as constant as you'd think, but the animation during the battle scenes is quite good.
S-CRY-ed, Simply Awesome animation and music in this one. It's a Mutants hunting other rouge mutants kinda show. Sorta like the premise behind Witch Hunter Robin, but with a lighter mood and more upbeat character designs/
Geneshaft Vol. - The chicks have very large b00bs...and that's all I have to say. _________________ Bang. |

The Geneshaft previews remind me of a female version of Pilot Candidate/Candidate for Goddess...

Vision of Escaflowne (the series, not the movie) is what got me into anime at all in the first place. Not Dragonball Z or anything like that.
The movie and SEries are vastly vastly different. It's almost like the only thing they kept from teh series was the major character names. That's really all I can say as I haven't seen Esca since early 1998 and have only scene about 45 minutes of the movie. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
