Of course, Ms. Kanno's work is always a pleasure to the ears, but I also love the music to BGC(both versions), Lodoss, Iczelion, Excel Saga, Tenchi Muyo, Nadesico, Gatchaman, and Big O. _________________ End of line. |

I can't believe no one has mentioned Trigun yet. It sets the mood. |
that's because i didn't find this thread 'till just now...
bebop is probably the greatest all-around, but nearly everything i've heard of trigun just seems to cater directly towards my tastes in music... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

My current favorites are the soundtrack to Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door, the soundtrack to End of Evangelion (call me weird, but it tickles my fancy), and the first soundtrack to FLCL (the pillows just plain rock!!)
Oh, and for you suckers who haven't seen FLCL yet, you're missing out on a purely bizarre and potentially mind-altering experience... And for the suckers who haven't seen End of Evangelion... well, again, potentially mind-altering, but in a totally different way... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

Seconded!
I want that Vespa, too.

I couldn't say which is what's the best anime soundtrack when in consideration I only have one and it's cowboy bebop's "blue" which I can say is great. _________________ Tan simple y tan sencillo como eso, el mundo apesta! -inguesu |

I especially like Yoko Kanno, with her work in Escaflowne (the best song is Dance of curse), Cowboy bebop (bets: tank!), and macross plus. The seatbelts also did some great work with yoko kanno while producing the Cowboy bebop music. Some other good ones are The pillows (FLCL *foory Koory) and the outlaw Star band. |

Can't top Yoko Kanno for Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, and Macross Plus.
Christopher Franke did an excellent job with the Tenchi movie soundtrack.
The Thrill did a good job with Blue Sub 6.
Megumi Hayashibara doesn't compose musical scores, but she's a good VA and nice singer.
I needs to get the Big O soundtrack. |

you mean "Komm, Susser Tod"... yeah, that's a cool song, simply because it's got a happy beat and has a very sing-along quality, but its lyrics are completely depressing when you listen to them...
Again, I want to express my love of the "FLCL" soundtrack. Furi Kuri and the pillows rock!!! _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee
