What you do think about anime in general... some of us are huge fans of it, while others are semi-fans, why?
Also what do you think about Anime in general, do you feel it's been stated as the next evolution in toons today?

Anime is a form of animation. It is neither superior nor inferior to any other form of animation. This includes, but is not limited to, cel shading, computer animtation, claymation, puppetanimation, and, above all, American animation.

That seemed kind of harsh, CP.
AgentJ: When starting a discussion topic, it generally helps if you include your own thoughts and answers to the questions you pose, rather than merely soliciting opinions.
I thought they were pretty good questions myself, certainly better than some recent "topics" started lately.
Anime in general: As CP stated, "anime" (as used in American vernacular) is Japanese cartoons. As such they have been and will continue to be a cheap alternative to creating original American TV cartoon programming for the entertainment of the young and the young-at-heart. It will never be a viable mainstream pop-culture phenomenon that everyone in the general audience will know of almost instinctively, the way that the names "Mickey Mouse", "Bugs Bunny", "Scooby-Doo" or "Batman" are.
Although it will not replace American animation, its current niche popularity will influence the style of American cartoons for the near future. The direct funding of Japanese animation by American production companies will also influence the Japanese studios to American tastes, while staving off the extinction of smaller studios as they lose market share to the Korean (and soon Chinese and Indian) animation studios in the production of anime.

We are a Toonami forum. Toonami is what made anime popular in the mainstream. I contend, and will argue this to my death, that without Toonami, I, and many others, would not be anime fans. No, it is not an anime block. But it sure has a lot of it.
Thus, I felt his question had an obvious answer. We're all fans. Wee.
