since it seems we get a topic containing unfavorable opinions of toonami's current state on a weekly basis nowadays (two were posted today alone), i got to thinking about another time toonami hit a bit of a lull a few summers ago and did their "Power To The People" promotion...though i can't remember much about it, outlaw star got the nod back then...

let's just say that, hypothetically, they decided to do this again, opening their catalogue to any show that hasn't aired on toonami since they changed their look last march (i'd say "end of 2002", but my memory doesn't go that far back)...this would take away buu saga dbz, dragonball, kenshin, yu yu hakusho, sd gundam, justice league, samurai jack, cyborg 009, transformers: armada, he-man, hot wheels world race, db:gt, and probably one or two other shows i can't recall, but everything else that had at least a run during toonami's history would be open for the vote...

if this were to come to pass, what show from toonami's past would you pick, knowing that if it were to be re-aired, you'd watch it in a heartbeat? i attempted a poll of what i was thinking would be the likely candidates, but with only ten slots (since it wouldn't accept my original, thirteen-option poll), i know i probably missed one or two biggies, so feel free to yell some sense into me if i seriously overlooked something...

Zoids

And when I mean Zoids, I mean Chaotic Century and Guardian Force. I'm sick of this 6/6:30AM shit. I wanna be able to watch it at a time when I'm not so damn sleepy.

I think CN no longer has broadcast rights to about half of those shows: 08th MS Team, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, ReBoot, Tenchi.

If they did, my vote would be for ReBoot.

Personally, I'd rather like to see Gundam Wing again, especially if they put it uncut on midnight run again...

with all the tuning i put into the poll, i completely forgot to answer the question...

shows that i've seen, liked, and would like to see again would be the dbz cell saga, zoids: chaotic century, and g gundam...i already own outlaw star and 08th ms team, and the others i can hold off on...

as for shows i have yet to see, the big ones for me are gundam wing and the non-ova tenchi series' (universe, in tokyo)...of these options, i'd probably go with gundam wing, since from what i've heard, i've apparently already seen the best of tenchi...

so as for what show would get me to watch the block every day, it'd probably be gundam wing, merely due to the reputation that preceeds it...

Out of all the reruns in Toonami history I'd pick this line-up...

5.0 - Sailor Moon
5.5 - Dragonball Z (Androids/Cell sagas)
6.0 - Gundam Wing
6.5 - Rurouni Kenshin

JJc, how could you possibly forget about Beast Wars?! ^_^

...Ok sure it was only on for a week, but technically it still counts. Besides all of those have done enough runs that they don't need to come back; at least give BW one full run.

Outlaw Star. They aired it twice, but it was great.

Why would they ever give up broadcast rights to ANY of thier shows?

Oh BTW, you forgot Ronin Warriors. I dont care, but my sister who has ADHD always likes to shout, "Maybe they'll put Ronins back on!" And I'm like, "No, I don't think they CAN anymore."

Contracts expire. It's that simple.
