|
|
|
|
The poll is "What is the worst mistake Toonami has ever done?" So what do you think is the worst mistake ever?

The worst mistake was....... airing that episode fo My Little Pony. Toonami didn't make mistakes so much as Kelner made teh mistakes for them and then blamed Toonami sort of a thing. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

When they put Hamtaro on! It was like...
*Screen waves into flashback mode*
*I turn on TV*
"What's THis?"
*5 Minutes later*
"OMG OMG MY EYES MY EYES THEY BURN!!! SAVE ME JEBIZZZZ!!!!! SAVE ME!!"
*Runs to fridge and pulls out a Tuna*
*Hits self with Tuna*
*Wakes up 4 weeks later in the hospital*
"huh? What happened?"
"Well, this is the 12th case this month of a Hamtaro related accident" _________________ -Ixidor |

well, let's see...
- i almost never get to watch the first show that airs on the block, so i honestly never actually sat down and watched hamtaro...going on what everyone else says, i should consider myself lucky...
- dbz hasn't been cancelled, it's just on a much-needed rest...if you really need your fix, it airs every saturday night at 1130pm...
- yu yu hakusho hasn't been cancelled either, and it should be back to toonami in the coming months, but if you need your fix, check the sves block every saturday night at 1230am...
- movies never really were that big a deal for me...they're a nice change of pace, but i'd rather sit down to a new series...
my personal worst moment for the block was the moving of kenshin to sves, because going from a five-days-a-week fix to just once a week really took some getting used to...
however, i think the block really hit its low this time last year, when the first hour was devoted to the previous day's dragonball and dbz episodes while the third hour was the next episodes of each...the lack of variety really made it hard to watch... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

Putting on Hamtaro wasn't Toonami's fault or intention. The higher-ups at Turner forced that show onto the block. Blame them.
DBZ isn't cancelled. It's LOOOOOOOOOOONG since over. It'll probably come back in a couple of months. Also, ever since the series premiered on Toonami, it has been on for 61 straight months without a single break except on a few Fridays here and there thanks to In-Flight Movies. It DESERVES a much-needed break. Also, a lot of Toonami viewers wanted this show off for a long time anyway because of its over repetition, so it's no big loss.
YYH isn't cancelled either. It's just off the block until new episodes arrive, like CN does with all of their other shows. Never say a show is cancelled just because it's off the block. It can come back at any time as long as CN has the rights to it.
The reason why they're not airing movies is because you can't have a movie every single week of the year. It'll get repetitive and boring that way, so they split up the times for that.
In other words, none of these are actually what you would call "mistakes." You know these things would have to happen one of these days in order to make room for more new stuff and premieres. |

in my opinion, their biggest mistake was taking Moltar away and replacing him with TOM in the first place... but that's just me... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

I like Hamtaro. It's awesome! Although the "Hampster with mad skills" line didn't warm me to the show before I saw it.
Worst mistake? The current line up. Ugh. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

In my opinion...Toonami has made a few slip-ups, but nothing too serious, givie it time, it'll come around. I hope......I mean what's the worst thing Toonami has ever done? _________________ One Last Time, To Blow Your Mind.....

Worst mistake? They stopped showing Robotech, of course. There was also the Escaflowne fiasco. W could be watching Escaflowne and Macross right now, dammit. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Blame Saban for that, not CN. Saban is the company who went on the "pick up everything before Toonami does" fiasco. It's a good thing Disney put a stop to that when they bought the company. |

Though the least Disney could do is put those liscences to use. They horribly need material to flush out the programming of Toon Disney. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

HUmmm ....IM suprised that no ones said anythign about SD Gundam....But they really need to bring back robot tech. When they first started showing it, anime wasnt that big in the US yet, and now its exploded everywhere...the majority of Saturday Morning Cartoons are not anime.
(remembers back n the day when Saturdays where worth getting up for)
SO they really just need to re-run that..

Doesn't ADV control Robotech? If so, expect in on The Anime Network. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
