The looney tunes were good before Chuck as well you know, even jones had established characters to work with. the difference was that he was willing to go to new places witht them. That's all that needs to happen with them now. New characters need to be added that aren't ripoff clones of other characters (lola bunny for instance). On top of that, they needed to go back to the presentation technique they used to have. New shorts needed to be attached to theatrical films, oh wait, they already realized this! I won't hold judgement on them until I see what they put forward fro the theatrical run of shorts. (not all of them will be in front of g and pg movies, if I remember right they do have some that will be-- for a reason-- airing in front of pg-13 and r rated flicks.)

I know Chuck wasn't the first. But, personally, I say he's the best. He took established characters, and let them go where their personalities would take them. It was never forced. It was always "Character enters situation here, and then character follows instincts and does THIS". That feeling of natural comedy is gone.
