Well its over. Gundam Seed Destiny has finally aired its final episode. Honestly, the series could have been much... much better. However, juding by the popularity of the series... there may be another Gundam SEED. Several holes were left in the story and i'm sure there are more Gundam's that can be cloned or ripped off.
So, anyone else catch the final ep? What did you guys think?

I read about it over at the Gundam Official forums, and I must say that I'm very disappointed. Considering GSD had two full recap episodes, its ridiculous that they still couldn't tie up the plot by ep. 50(not to mention how SPOILER certain characters are practically invincible SPOILER END). Keep in mind that I haven't actually watched any of the episodes (I just read most of the episode summaries), though. From this standpoint, Gundam Seed Destiny just looks like a pale imitation of Zeta Gundam (Shinn being like a mix of both Kamille and Jerid, minus the brains) with a bunch of useless characters thrown in just for the heck of it. I honestly hope the next Gundam series either is a stellar reinvention of the franchise, or another excellent UC series (based on Ecole du Ciel, perhaps?).

To tell you the truth really gave up on GSD sometime half way through the series. A few eps did give me a little hope that it may be salvaged(But those quickly went up in flames). Yeah so far the CE series haven't been too great. Both shows had an overabundance of clip show episodes, and the writing had some flaws. _________________ "Just checking."

Sigh...If only SEED had been the manga side story to Gundam Seed Astray. Now that would make a good anime series.
