Locke's sick at the moment, but I good friend "whoop the shit out of the thread until it shuts down and cries like the spamwich bitch that it is" happens to be right here.

No, seriously Saiyangirl, theres nothing wrong with making a thread about dragonball gt to give out some info, but you're wanting people to go to your site to get that info. that's a bad thing. next time make sure now content less self advertising.

NOTE: I have unlocked this so Saiyangirl can make appropriate changes to her post that would make this a viable thread to discuss dbgt n' stuff in in the future. She has basicly until I go to bed tonight to fix it, then it gets locked back down if she hasn't.

DBGT is the series after DBZ.

Dragon Ball Grand Tour ran from February 1996 to November 1997 in Japan.

DBGT is 64 episodes long, making it the shortest of the three DB series.

It started out as a hunt for dragon balls type series, but the fans complained there wasn't enough beat the crap out of people action that they missed from DBZ. So as the series progresses they added more action.

If this thread stays alive it would be nice to discuss DBGT further.

I think this thread could be salvaged now that it's a more general basic GT info topic. We'll just have to wait and see if there's any interest.

I believe most people's opinion of GT after they've seen it, and were able to digest it all, is that it's the worst of the series. It's going to be just the ceremony after DBZ that let's it gradually move to finish when nearly everybody hates it, then slowly starts to love it again (when Toriyama comes back and helps out, lol).

Yeeeeeaaaaah... I don't think that's going to happen any time soon...

BTW, has anyone here read Toriyama's new manga, "Sandland", yet?...

I still say the creator doesn't have to be a part of something for it to be good, it would just probably help is all.

Does the creator have to be involved in order for a show to be good? No. But DBZ got worse as Toriyama got more and more bored with the characters. The Buu saga sucks. I'm just watching it so I can say I watched it all.

that's the problem though, if the creator stays aboard and gets bored, they do tend to bring down what it is their working on. Each project needs to be headed by people who actually enjoy what they're working on. perhaps in T had left the series when he wanted to and they brought in somebody who really wanted it to continue (a non corperate type of course) maybe then the quality would have continued. Actually I could probably garuntee that you people would be enjoying it much more than you are now.

At the same time, another mind could ruin it. Like DBGT. And once Gendy Tatarkovosky started spending time on Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab bagan to SUCK. A new mind COULD improve it, or it COULD ruin it. It works both ways.
