What does .rm files mean? When I downloaded Kikaider ending it did not want to play on Quick time player. And my player's version 6.5. Can anyone help?

It stands for real media. Therefore, you need something that can play files only meant to work in real player.

I heard of some program called Real Alternative that can also play .rm files, but I haven't really looked into it. And yes, this is the wrong section (technically not, since Kikaider was on AS at one point) for this.

if you want old school real player find an install of NN4.8

or get the gawdy awful thing they got saying its real one

RealPlayer is the worst player of all time.

I'll never understand why some sites still insist on using it. Why can't it just die already?

RealVideo 10 is a good codec, when used properly. RealPlayer is evil.

If you install RealPlayer, only use it to play files when necessary. Don't let it access the Internet. (Thank you firewalls.)

I used to be obsessed with RealVideo back in the day (1998).
Be thankful that obsession ended soon after.

Oh, we are. Believe me. When I used to play RM files... the whole thing sucked.

I use mplayer classic. Will open just about any thing. You can googlle it. It's free.
