Post subject: Endless Waltz Discussion (Spoilers ahead)
Ok- I went and looked through the threads and did not find one on Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. I recently watched it for the first time, and I must say, I was impressed.
Understand that I had only caught a handful of Gundam Wing episodes, so my actual knowledge of the series is handicapped substantially. But for being mostly an outsider, Endless Waltz had a coherant plot I could easily follow, characters I could that had personalities I could understand, and enough action to otherwise distract me. The gundams were pretty, and the moves in the battles were pretty awesome.
Of course, there was the obligatory love intrest, kidnapping, and diabolical plots to take over the world.
One thing I didn't expect was to actually see someone shoot Dekim in the head. Yeah, it was war, and I expected people to be injured, but damn! Right in the freakin' head!
The movie was also a bit spoiled for me because I have seen so many AMV's (for those few of you who don't know, AMV= Anime Music Video) going to Ramnstien, Nightwish, and, my personal favorite, "All Your Base."
Incidentally, I had believed, until I saw Endless Waltz, that the footage used in those videos had been from the series.
Would anyone else like to discuss this? I know that Endless Waltz has been on Toonami/Adult Swim before.

I saw it on CN. So I missed the head being blown off. But Im guessing your talking about onboard the plane.
Most of us havent seen this in a long time. But would probaly be willing to help you understand it. So please ask away.

Well, technically, his head wasn't "blown off." It was a single bullet to the back of his head, you see blood spurt from his forehead, his eyes go dead, and him crumpling forward, his cloak covering his face while a pool of read spreads out beneath him. Lovely, ne?

Is there anything in the movie that anyone couldn't keep their mouth closed during? I don't mean conversationally. I mean scenes where, for example, Duo hits Heero because he askes him to and then Heero hits Duo in the gut hard enough to knock him out. I couldn't stop myself from yelling out, "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! DUO!!!!!"
So did anyone else have a particular scene in the movie that they couldn't stop them selves from yelling about? Or am I just weird like that?

The closest I came to doing that was when I saw Heavy Arms Customs for the 1st time. Heavy Arms was one of my favorite GW Gundams. For some reason I just loved the fact it had no beam weapons. But I was a bit sad that they removed the combat knife it had in the series .
