Sorry, but the show is "wanna-be" because its trying to be something it can't be and i'm kinda dissappointed that otakus are now calling this show their new #1 anime when in fact its origins are American. You can call it anime inspired, but its just a nicer way of calling it a "wanna-be" anime.
What it is, is an anime-styled action cartoon. And you'd better get used to seeing them, because they're the wave of the near-future as far as kid's TV animation is concerned, especially now that Viacom and Warner Bros. are helping to directly fund new shows straight from Japan/Asia (IGPX is the first shot).
You and your friends, along with everybody else, need to be more concerned about show quality, not show origins.

I hate American anime fans, for this specific reason. For years, they bitched that anime wasn't more widely appeciated. Well, they got their wish. And promptly bitched even louder, while at the same time throwing out their ideals out the window re: fansubs.

Great! A powerpuff girls anime! I hope all u ignorant "wanna-be" anime fans got what you want, a real American show becoming a real anime made in Japan by a real Japanese animation studios!
The original show was good enough by itself, why would they turn it into an actual anime?
What if Teen Titans actually becomes an actual Japanese production, would you all complain about it because its something you all didn't want it to become? If it lost its American origin, would you all complain?
Oh, by the way, on a side note, DC Comics, you all piss me off! What you did to TenTen is not acceptable! I thougnt 4kids was bad, but this is just unacceptable! You know what, just don't bring it over. You all already have your comic book characters, so go ahead and have more lousy cartoons made for them and make more comics about them!

A blatant attempt to make money and possibly re-start the franchise?
It's already been done before (The Batman, Transformers, He-Man, Zoids, Tenchi in Tokyo, Gundam SEED, yadda, yadda, yadda), so it's no big whoop.

Because some of us have a deep-seeded hatred for CN's homebrewed cartoons and the overall declining quality of US animation (what happened to the late-80s/early-90s?).

Is that why SEED's first half was almost an exact play-by-play of 0079?

Oh don't get me started on just how much SEED has stolen from other series. Hell, the new Destiny intro shows Goufs, Doms, and the return of... oh wait, that has happened yet. Tee hee hee. Can't be spoiling it.

You might do better giving us valid reasons why. As for my opinion, sometimes it seems corny having anime versions of DC characters, but I still enjoy the show. and, load, maybe?
