I didn't find one of these so I thought I'd make one. This is a thread where you have the chance to explain your name to the entire board. All stories are welcome.

I'll get things kicked off.

My nickname WhtHawk stands for White Hawk. I got White Hawk from the nickname my friends gave me The Hawk That Flies At Night With White Wings (abberviated THTFANWWW). My friends and I normaly use THTFANWWW (slured to gather to sound somthing like (Tuf-an-a-wa (i think that would be it's break down)) Any way, you can understand the confusion THTFANWWW causes and how The Hawk That Flies At Night With White Wings is a little long for a nickname so WhtHawk it is. Oh, my last name is Hawkins for those of you who wondered where the Hawk part came from. As for the other words. . . my firends are weird.

Ok, your turn. Wink

Green-Bird is named for the song, which was proudly played during the catheridral scene in the Cowboy Bebop episode "Ballad of Fallen Angels".

Not very interesting.

Spookmonkey all stems back to the days of BBS's. I went through many different incarnations most of which either came from literature or words in different languages. After a while I said to a friend "Hey! I like monkeys and I like ghosts, wouldn't it be funny if monkeys could be ghosts too?" in which he replied "hehe, beware the ghost monkey OoooOOOOoooo.. spooky" During a trivia game at a sports bar I had to have a name that was only 6 letters so I rtied different variations to find something that sounded cool GstMnk didn't work and so I remembered the spooky comment and used, well, Spooky. After that it was just Spookmonkey.

(I also ened up using Spooky for my email address because at teh time Spookmonkey wouldn't come near fitting for AOL so I used Spooky2000 as if it were a product. Now all but my aim name are monkey themed.

As for my AIM name Andromaton. It came from doing technical support for a shitty ass software company. Nearly everyone who called had the same problem (on account of a bugs the company refused to fix) and it fent like we were just automatons. So I just combines my first name with automaton and came out with Andromaton.

Back in 5th grade when I was signing up for my first website (I was using an easy page builder at the time) I was trying to think of a name other than just Corey. I thought I was pretty damn cool, so I tried to sign up for "CoolCorey". Of course the name was taken, so I added an extra 'o' since the chances of that name being taken were slim to none, and it just sort of passed on to my email address, MSN/AOL/Yahoo/MB name.

yeah, I liked goldfinger, what can I say...
still do, just not crazed about it like before.
I'd probably name myself Coldplay2k now Razz

My e-mail is" fightery22", I was in the Civil Air Patrol Air Force Auxiliary program (if anyone here knows what that is) at the time, and was into fighter jets. specifically the F22 raptor, so "fighter" for "f", "y" because that's the code letter for experimental plane, and just 22.

My s/n is the only thing not named "at the time"
HarTar86.
"har" are my initials. "Tar" was my videogame name, you know, the 3 letters you gotta input when you get a high score on anything. And '86 is my birthyear.
pretty strange.

peace

A long time ago, I tried to figure out a funny screen name. I was quite fond of Total Annihilation and Dark Forces at the time, so I kind of merged the two universes and came up with the ultimate larger-than-life beatstick.

Force-Attuned Krogoth: it's kind of like a dark trooper, only bigger.

Nightfall is a Wolfrider from the graphic novel Elfquest. I started using it on FurryMUCK, if anyone remembers back that far.

Let's just all pretend he said that's why and where he chose his name. I know I will/do.
