15 seconds of listening: I am seeing Hitler soluting his troops..
30 seconds: I am seeing cloaked figures walking around in a circle..
1 min: I am seeing satanic rituals......
2 mins: My brain is warping.....

NO. THERE IS NO MORE TIME, EVEN FOR CAKE. FOR YOU THE CAKE IS OVER. YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF CAKE.

Let's face it, FUNimation hates DBZ and now DBGT. (How plain old DB got by unscathed is a mystery to me) |
I'll tell you how DB got by. It's cute, innocent looking and has a plot. DBZ is mostly fan service with a few eps before and after each fight (season) to introduce the new villian and to restore the galaxy to it's former glory. I haven't seen DBGT but from what I've read, it seems to be a degenerate continuince of DBZ two or three years after the series ends.
I'll proably watch DBGT anyway just to see how warped they can make the story and timeline in it.

That song.... WTF? Misc. sound bytes to a bad rap song. It is worse than the Candaian opening for DBZ, and I thought that it was BAD. This takes the cake (and my ability to hear along with it). I might record GT and fast forward thru the opening.

I think that we can't blame the creator for somthing that they did not want to happen or that they did not participate in. Lets just admit that some suit somewhere wanted to capitalize on a young and already adicted audience, edited the translation for that audience and left us Otaku to whine about how we've already seen the original and can't see it again in it's original form where it is no longer aimed for the target audience.
The kiddies just want to see people beating each other to a pulp. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |
