Hey, I just read the news that He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will be coming to Boomerang. But unfortunately, I don't yet have the Dish Network top 180 package. But nonetheless, I'm still okay with that. I'm glad that it's returning. Are you?

Am I glad that it's coming back? Yes.

Am I glad that it's coming back to Boomerang? No.

Less than 1% of the country actually gets that network. The Anime Network has expanded faster in 3 years than Boomerang has in 5, because Time-Warner hasn't been giving it the respect it deserves. It's good that it's back, but it's a shame that no one will be able to watch it.

I would think Boomerang would be in more homes. Its part of the DirecTV plus package. Which I would think most of us with DirecTV have.

And yes I admit to watching Boomerang. Im hoping that with them getting He-Man we will see other shows from 80's. They already show Centurions (20 years early on the use of the word EXTREME!) and other really crappy 80's shows.

But this should open up the chances for SilverHawks and other shows that were blocked with He-man. Give us old kids of the 80's a chance to see the shows again.

Plus why would the anime network run He-man? I dont remember their mission statement including "Homoerotic cartoons of the 80's".

For what its worth I was really happy when Boomerang picked up Batman and Superman. They are showing all the Batmans up to the last of the original series "Gotham Knights". Boomerang just swapped out Superman as well with the New Adventures of Johnny Quest. So they are doing some playing around with their schedule.

Their has to be a niche for that network that doesnt involve shows that werent owned by Hannah Barbara. With CN's current owners there should be a bigger library available

Actually, we're not sure if it's the '80s series or the newer one... Confused

Who said anything about He-Man airing on TAN? All I did was compare how much Boomerang and TAN have expanded over the years.

Baby Looney Tunes, What's New Scooby-Doo, and other modern incarnations of classic characters are currently airing on the network. Duck Dodgers (which is a year younger than He-Man) premiered on the network earlier this year (with new episodes, too). Heck, even Tickle U got a special marathon during the week of Thanksgiving. So it's not really that strange anymore for Boomerang to air modern shows. The UK version of Boomerang was doing it for a couple of years now, so it wouldn't have been much longer before other countries followed that path.
