I'm not into fanfics myself , but I don't see anything wrong with them as long as they're not being sold.

I wholeheartedly agree with the creators, be this article real or not. So sue me. I absolutely abhore fan-fiction. It takes away from the real thing. Comics arn't fan-fiction though. They are just hilarious XD.

So you hate fanfiction because it "takes away from the real thing?" Well, what about fics that expand upon characters who were largely overlooked in various series? Fics that explore alternate possibilities of the plots without resorting to SI or cheesy plot devices? What about my fics? Do they suck because they try too hard?
It sounds like you just haven't been looking in the right places for fanfic, or hard enough for the good ones. Not all fanfic is poorly spelled, grammatically incorrect garbage written by four year olds.

This is probably the best fanfiction I have ever read, Lady rose doesn't even write Zelda but she really deserves to get this published or something because it is THAT good 0_0

Good Fanfiction can be hard to find. I basicaly read NGE, BGC 2040, and Love Hina. Which means I have to look much harder cause they are popular animes. It's hard to find any good fics on FF.net so I tend to go looking for them on other sites but that can be a nightmare.

I tend to look for ones with high numbers of reviews or just summaries with good spelling and stuff ^^

I usally don't listen to reviews... Unless I've never heard of the writer before. Some of the best fics for NGE I've seen are at Darkscribes.

| I don't know what to think of this............it's just came from nowhere. But, I dont think they could enforce it in America, because that would interfere with freedom of speech. And, the companies will lose profit. I think some of the article sounds extremely realistic, but parts, such as the creator screaming"theyre not gay!" then breaking down........well, that just sounds silly. I don't believe they could have enough power to enforce it. It goes too much into freedom of speech, which deals with this subject. At least, that's what I believe, and I just finished Economic and Legal Polital Action Honors, so, we covered this sort of stuff. |

I'll find a Link for it, but one of my friends wrote one that at least has a better first chapter. Then again, he only wrote the first chapter, and I've only read two thirds of the first chapter of the one you just posted. Why does everyone have to make a Zelda Fanfic? Isn't it a little overdone?

DBZ is over done... I've learned in my 6 years(give or take a few) of the internet that the more popluar an anime is the harder it is to find good fics. And DBZ proves me right.

everything is overdone, and if you put a new twist on something then that's great. Don't read mine I'm one of 'those' fanfic writers who re-use everything. Except my GW/sm crossover because I spent three months thinking that up before writing it and I was quite proud!
