Not at all. It will get it right if you do. Tyler's right. The second digit of the number makes no difference, because 3-3=0. All that matters is the first digit. Thus, there are nine numbers you can come up with: 10-1=9, 20-2=18, 30-3=27, 40-4=36, 50-5=45, 60-6=54, 70-7=63, 80-8=72, 90-9=81. If you look at it, the multiples of nine always have the same symbol, although which symbol it is is randomized, as are the symbols of every other number. It's just that most people won't spend time thinking about why it works, so noone complains.
