As "epic" as the buu saga was, I think the concept of villans having multiple forms got old by then. I like the early episodes where once ya killed someone, they were dead.

I have to agree counterparadox.

"Goodbye.
See you in Hell, Quee." Vegeta

Stayed dead?

Dragonball is like Marvel Comics. Grandpa Gohan is Uncle Ben.

Post subject: What a violent episode last night

I never thought I would have to keep my kids from watching DBZ. However, seeing Dadoria kill a child with an energy blast, punch a hole through a Namek, and then break another's neck, I have serious thoughts about letting my four year old watch. It made for a great episode, but now I am thankful Cartoon Network cut material out of the episodes. Don't get me worng, I am enjoying the uncut episodes, but for kids under 7 or 8, they should not be watching these uncut episodes. Good thing my son opted to play with the computer instead of watch. Otherwise, I would have had to wait until he went to bed to watch.

Let them watch and then see if there is a change in behavior.

Never aired edited in Japan, and they have a lower crime rate.

I'm just saying.

I am not worried that my kids will grow up criminals, because I feel a cartoon would never influence someone to do anything unless they are unstable already. I've seen enough Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry cartoons and I don't have any urges to drop an anvil on anyone. I am afraid my kids will have nightmares. I was not even thinking long term.

By the way, I loved the way Vegeta killed Dodoria last night. I was hoping he'd break his arms first, but cool none the less. None of this gasping and awwing after hitting someone with a blast. He was dead. Plain and simple. These truly are the best episodes.

Who is going to have a nightmare about dbz? If you dream about it, it must be good.

Hopefully, one day you'll understand why his decision makes sense.

Hopefully, if you do, that day comes beforey ou do have kids.

Hopefully, if it doesn't, I never have to deal with your kids.

Hopefully.

Perhaps I was just spacing out during last night's episode, but did Krillin really call Vegeta a 'bastard'?

That is why the uncut episodes are shown at 10:30 PM, and not during the day. Most of the 4 year-olds, don't stay up untill 11 at night. If you don't wan't kids to watch something like this, then make your kids go to sleep earlier.

Finally a new poster I like.

Another great part was Dodorio sticking not his fist, but his open HAND through that Namek.

As for language and nightmares over violence, it's no worse than any Indiana Jones movie (which a lot of us saw as children) and none of us woke up in a cold sweat after dreaming of melting Nazi faces.

Though to be fair I was called upon to name a fact about an animal on a field trip to the zoo and was in serious dog shit for replying "Snakes? Dammit, why'd it have to be SNAKES?"
