I'm just moking them for cutting out all the fun/non-violent parts. They skipped the first 17 eps b/c there are only about 2 fight scenes in them. Then the lack of fresh voice acters got me too, though i can't say it supprised me. That was my gripe. In all honesty, I'd expect a few more ot the toonami showings to be more than one ep. again, for more fighting. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

[quote="WhtHawk"]Wow, 17:1 episode compression ratio! At that pace we only have another 3 episodes until reruns start again.
What are you talking about? They show every single one of the GT episodes on Toonami.
I Think GT is awesome, especially the music. |

The first episode of Dragon Ball GT that aired on Toonami was an overview of the first 17 episodes shown in Japan. I'm not arguing with the quality of the show. Just their aparent choice to condence episodes in order to have more fight scenes. The coment about three more episodes was generated by taking the final number of epsiodes aired in Japan divided by 17 then rounding. It was again for the purpouse of making fun of their decision. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

if anything, i'm digging the narrator's voice in gt, which in my opinion is the best of the three series (though i think db's narrator fits that respective property perfectly)...anyone manage to catch the va's name in the credits? _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

I personally hate the GT narrator voice. It's too deep and lpain. My friends hate it too. The best is in DBZ. But I gess everyone who hates the voice wiil get used to it sooner or later. I am slowly getting used to it.
Oh, and by the way, the narrator's name is Christopher Sabat. And I didn't get it off the credits. Strangely, he's been in all of the Dragonball series(DB, DBZ, DBGT), and YuYu Hakusho. Hmmmm... The voices sounded totally different. To find out more go to http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/PersonDetail/personid-98729. |

eh, i was basically searching as hard as possible to find something i liked about gt, and that's all i could come up with...i keep hearing that it's supposed to pick up, but the "dragonball" name is the only thing keeping me watching right now...
thanks for the info kenshin... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

This is the latest db related thread, so I'll post this here:
I'VE JUST HEARD THAT IN A COUPLE OF YEARS A NEW DB SERIES MIGHT ARRIVE ON TOONAMI.STILL THIS IS JUST A RUMOR AND IS NOT CERTAIN.IT IS SAID TO BE CALLED DRAGONBALLXTREME AND IS SET TO AIR AT 6.30 TO 7.00.[THIS IS JUST A RUMOR]
yeah... good ol anonymous person with horrible made up rumors. I think it's funny. |
