From Anime News Network....

Heat Guy J hits MTV (2003-10-18 00:16:49)
Geneon has announced the Heat Guy J series will be run on the MTV cable network "later this year or early in 2004." No further details are available at this time.

Bizzare, yet in a way, expected. Every single other MTV across the world shows anime. MTV Italy even showed Evangelion and Nadesico. The more alarming worries are the huge chunks of time edits, and MTV's track record with previous animations (fans of Clone High and MTV Spider-Man know what I'm talking about)

anyone know what the last successful animation series on mtv was? i barely acknowledge the network anymore, but i did used to catch the occassional "daria" a few years back...

i don't know anything about heat guy j either...is it something that would fit with the 'mtv crowd' or is this more of an "attract a different demographic"-type of marketing strategy?
