Also,
according to what I've heard, is it true that they will be showing the uncut episodes?

Redub episodes: most likely

Uncut: doubtful. We'll probably be seeing the good old TV-Y7 rating.

Because it's airing in the early evening where your impressionable young mind can get ahold of it.

Blame your mother. Everytime something objectionable airs, mothers across the country complain about how poor little pookims is going to be corrupted.

If you don't like it, go to Japan. Otherwise, shut up. That's thw way it is, we can't change it. We don't make the rules, we only understand them. And until you understand them, don't complain.

I'd actually blame our puritan society and lack of good parents. For some reason, a good portion of the US beleives that it's the television's / the government's / the school's responsibility to raise their children instead of thiers.
If something violent airs, parents call the cable company and threaten to stop buying cable (this is because they're in the narrow band between being smart enough to use a touch tone phone, and stupid enough not to be able to work a v-chip). The cable company then threatens to drop the channel with such "objectionable" material because although said channel would be earning higher ratings itself, the cable privider would lose money.
In Japan however, violence is a-ok to show on tv. This is mostly because Japanese people are much less stupid than the average American parent; they understand that a young child is capable of knowing right from wrong, and thus when violence is warrented or not (and if the child isn't, they're bright enough not to let them watch tv).
And that's how Ixidor saved christmas.

Thank you, Bono. I see your elaboration skills are as sharp as ever. Wink

Although you neglected to mention sponsorship pressure brought onto the network by the fear of protesting parents as a factor.

Thats exactly why some parents are stupid. Who is going to protest over the content of an animated cartoon aired on tv.
