I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I thought I should bring it up, just in case. If it's already been discussed, then this thread will get buried pretty quickly anyway.

*Go here for the mentioned clip: http://www.pummeldex.de/
I came across this little Evangelion into clip, posted, so I thought I'd update my old, grainy one I have on my computer. When I went to play it, I was rather surprised to see the EVAs were CG rather than the normal, 2-D cell art. I was just wondering what all you think of it.

Downloading and will check when done.

Well, that felt... different. What is the point of using those 3D models in the intro, it just feels wierd if you've seen the show through. Did you notice that the Plug was also 3D? The outside and the console Shinji was at were I believe 3D.

Watched again, they are MOST DEFINATLY 3D.

Semi-Related: As I search the site with Altavista Translator, I find this:

He-He-Man - masters OF the university verses 2002

Altavista's Translator could use some work.

I personally love how they are integrating CG now a days and they did so back then. Today look at Naruto - See how much CG you can spot, then look back at Cowboy Bebop - Play spot the CG... Even though compared to back then, the CG becomes less obviois and is mainly used to lessen the work of the animators while producing higher standards of Anime constantly. Its an I win and You win situation. We get cooler Anime, they get less work.

On a Eva related note... Look at the intro between 1;12;07 - 1;12;08... There seems to be a map of some sorts their... Its between the shot of Pro. Fyuski and Hyuuga for you people that do not know the times...
