Beefy's opinion of the new Toonami:

Pros:
They got rid of that ye olde font which bugged me to no end.
Sara is no longer just a floating head.
Since it's on only once a week it usually has new episodes.
The Clydes shoot data streams out of their butts.
Teen oriented = more mature content. (in theory)

Cons:
They got rid of Tom's big honkin' ship and stuck him in this little thing.

So overall I am quite happy with the new Toonami.
Let's wait and see what they do for the next T.I.E.

Ratings run the world. Especially for CN. They have been ratings insane lately, taking shows off CN that I really liked. Samurai Jack was one of the coolest new shows they had, and where is it? If any of the shows in the Toonami block aren't cutting it, the ratings will do it in. If you like Gundam Seed, and they are pulling poor ratings, you may be out of luck. I really like Batman Beyond, and if that can be put in the Toonami block, that would be a plus IMO.

kid_motion writes "The final four new episodes of Samurai Jack, the Emmy Award-winning animated series from Genndy Tartakovsky, will air Saturday, Sept. 25, during Toonami, Cartoon Network’s Saturday night destination for the best action and animé programming. Beginning at 7 p.m. (ET, PT), four new episodes of Samurai Jack will premiere. In between episodes of Samurai Jack, Cartoon Network will telecast a special presentation of all 20 chapters of Star Wars: Clone Wars, the epic micro-series produced and directed by Tartakovsky.

Batman Beyond had a pretty good run considering it was on for about eight months straight.

I still say we need a superhero block with batman superman beyond, jla, superfriends, xmen, umm... the batman and teen titans. We can call it "the same characters over and overagain super mega hour times four!"

Thats not entirely true. The time when they had Kenshin and Yu Yu on the same block was the best. And it was better than what they had before.

I know what you were referring to and pointing out everything is a matter of opinion, except when it comes to me, then it's ALL fact. Even the opinions.

I would be really happy if toonami had the following shows:

1. Batman Beyond
2. some other super hero show
3. DragonBall Z or DragonBall GT
4. Zoids chaotic century
5. Evangelion (I am not very familiar with that show, but I would love to check it out)
6. Something else that I can't think of.

You might want to watch Evangelion before you suggest it. There might be pieces on there that would... have a hard time making it to Adult Swim.
It shouldn't be hard to find. I'm betting that if you're in a group of friends that likes anime, at least one of them will have it. If not, the earlier DVD releases have gotten cheaper and cheaper as special, director's cut, and platinum editions have been released.
