So how old are these episodes? Are they 70's or made to look 70s?

Im old enough to have been 8 when we got cable for the first time in 1980. Our cable box had a dial and only 30 channels. I remember having cassetes before CD's. I even remember being a kid and having the The Muppet Movie soundtrack on 8-track. I saw Ishtar and Spaceballs in the theatre on their first runs. I was a young teenager when I used to run home to watch Gi Joe, Transformers, and Voltron on UHF in the afternoons. And these were there new episodes. I'm old enough to watch GiJoe again and think "Man this is really bad. How did I like it so much when I was a kid". And to wonder why CN doesnt show the "And knowing is half the battles". Since that is really what GI Joe is all about. I started my gaming consoles with a Magnavox Odessey 2 (though my parents had an Odessey 2000. Look them both up. The 2 had a voice module in 1980 which was very rare. It sits behind me in its box). I had a Commodore Vic 20 with 16k of memory. Thats k not meg.

Long way to say I'm 30 isnt it? Man I'm a bit verbose on this forum. And its okay to admit being 30. I play WWII Online and we have 12 year olds to 55 year olds. So I feel old and young in one night.

I remember that. It was fun to zip that thing up and down wheny ou were REALLY bored. Alot better than just holding channel up on the damned remote.

The public service announcements WERE the best part of GI Joe weren't they? Though I wasn't as much of a fan of Joe as a kid, I was more into Transformers, He-Man, and Voltron. MY friend still has most of the original Voltron toys. I used to have a grip of original He-Man Toys. The original Starwars Toys kicked ass too. I was sad when the millineum falcon got stepped on. Crying or Very sad

The Atari 2600 didnt have voice capabilities my Odessey 2 did. Look it up on Ebay. Good to see Im not that alone here. Btw I was into Voltron and Transformer a lot more then GI Joke. Its the cheese factor I watch Joe for now.

And those big CD things? Laserdiscs yeah thats it. Records? Sorry that was after my time.

The fact that I saw Ishtar in the theatre means I was one of 4 people who paid to see it. Favorite movie memory. Seeing Tron during its first run with my mother. She laughed her ass off at the jokes that only programmers, which she was, would get.

We skipped 8-track pretty much all together, laserdisc was a richmans passtime, and records/vinyl was what I meant. Also had Seseme Street XMas on record and Chipmunks Xmas on record. I still like the Seseme Street one.

I'm not old, but there is a lot of stuff in my house from the long, long ago. I think the oldest computer still remaining is the 80186 laptop (with TWO 3.5" floppy drives! WOO!), as we gave away our Commodore 64, and switched the motherboard on the '286 for a '386 (Man, that was quite a procedure).

But our biggest old-schoolism is the record collection. We have at least 80 vinyls, including Muppet Christmas carols (Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat! *splat!* Please put a penny in the old man's hat.), plenty of Neil Diamond, a reading of Tolkein's The Hobbit (What has its got in its pocketses; My Precious!), soundtracks to assorted musicals and operas, and two turntables, at least one of which still works, and speakers which have not been modified in at least thirty years.

I can't compete in the age contest, as I'm still waiting to graduate high school (two more months!!), but I am more experienced than most people my age. Now, if we're done here, I can get back to listening to my ABBA MP3s.

Hehe Scabba....

Well we still have a fare amount of vinyls, mostly my moms old Partridge Family and David Cassidy ones. The Sound of Music soundtrack, John Denver, KC and the Sunshine band, Bing Crosby, and like six holiday albums. NES was my first gaming experiance, but I think I played Atari once at a friends house when I was three.
