I know that this has been asked on many, many boards for a while. And now the Infolink is contributing to the madness! It's the burning, curious question inside everyone's heads.
What do YOU think will happen when Adult Swim Action leaves Saturday nights?
Some believe that one of the other Toonami blocks (Rising Sun, Midnight Run, Super Saturday) will take over the night while another block (or two) will be axed by Cartoon Network. Some believe that Boomeraction will get a transformation of sorts. And there are even some who believe that Cartoon Network will scrap the Saturday night action block and replace it with classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons (just like it was during the 2000-2001 season) and/or Cartoon Cartoons.
It's too early to know what's going on right now (we won't know anything until the end of this month), so these are just predictions.

I don't think ASA on Saturday nights is going anywhere, especially with the impending debut of the new Ghost in the Shell anime. Besides that, MSG isn't even close to being finished.

Nope, they're axing it on Saturdays and Sundays, combining action and comedy, and running them throughout the week at an hour nobody will possibly stay up until to watch them at, being prevented by those little things like work and school and all that fun stuff. That's why I believe Cartoon Network is secretly in league with VCR manufacturers.
Or maybe they're just incompetents.
Or morons.
Or fools.
Or all three.

the last i heard, saturday's adult swim action block will be removed, as well as the first hour of the sunday block, which may be going an hour later (from 10-1 to 11-2)...now, the weekday blocks were originally gonna be 11-1 with an hour of comedy followed by an hour of action, but i've heard that those blocks will be going to 2am, allowing ninety minutes for each genre and each day from sunday through thursday to be the same time (11-2)
...now, this would currently mean that sunday's block will be all comedy, while the weekday blocks will be evenly split between action and comedy...while i'm disappointed that they'd drop the anime/action block entirely, there's still plenty of time for them to make changes, either good or bad...
...i personally would like to see adult swim action move to thursday nights, making the beginning of the week (sunday) comedy, the end of the week (thursday) action, and the mixture monday through wednesday, but that's just a dream right now...
[edit: got rid of the "x", so the avatar's dropped...you didn't miss much...]

Hmm, Gouf still has a disturbing avatar, and JJc finally got one . . . add that to this news about ASA and my mind is really screwed up . . .
I heard about this over on Fata's site. I don't see why they would do this. ASA was the only good thing on Saturdays. Ugh. Now I'll have to watch SNL, which has really gone to crap in recent years.

cp, it's been a while man...
the truth about this avatar is that i had it prepped to debut on 10/11, which woulda been my first full year with tda (kind of a joke with it taking a full year to get an avatar or something, i'm odd like that)...well, we all know what happened instead, and now the gray background looks extremely outta place...the only light gray border was originally on the top, so i could keep the "underline avatar" i used prior to it, but now i gotta rethink everything...
...it's now just a placekeeper so i don't have to stare at that nasty "x" all the time...figures i finally made something i liked too =) _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

It's to early to tell what CN has in store for the ASA block. When ASWN(Adult Swim Weeknights) happens, we will know for sure what will replace ASA. Hopefully it will be a new Toonami block.
