If any of you still remember, one of the greated animated Super Hero series of all time, Batman: The Animated Series ran throughout the early 90's. To me, this show brought out the dark side of Batman's multi-idenity life and changed the way in which I had once perceived him to be. From the crazy antics of The Joker to split-personallty of Two-Face this series explored many of Batman's most infamous villians in an extrodinary way. A total of 85 episodes were produced along with a feature movie: Mask of the Phantasm, before ending in the fall of 1995.

Ooooooh I remember it, I remember it so very well. It was the series that made me decide to become an animator.

There are three moments in that series that really stand out for me:

Batman's conversation with Mr. Freeze about the justification of killing a building full of people just so Mr. Freeze can kill his old boss. To this day, I want to know what it's like to take that kind of walk he mentioned.

Clayface's breakdown when he gives up hope of keeping his old life. When I was little, I felt so sad for him.

There was also an episode with a guy who thought he was Zeus, the Greek god. He had this great line before he fired a stolen goverment electron cannon on a police blimp, but I can't remember the whole line.

Ah, good old Batman.

Proof that you don't need super powers, just expensive toys.

Yeah, it was quite the great show. Oddly enough, more moments stand out from Batman Beyond in my head, probably because I've seen it much more recently than I've sene B:tAS. But it was an awesome show none the less.

Ah, yes. Batman: The Animated Series. DC Comics animation at its finest. Very Happy

I love that show to death. I watched it on Fox Kids religiously, then I discovered it again in 1999 on Cartoon Network. I would watch that and Dragonball Z back-to-back (it wasn't Toonami, though) on weeknights from midnight-1AM. With everyone else asleep, I would sneak downstairs and watch it on a couch (all to myself! Mr. Green) on a big-ass TV with digital cable with excellent picture and stereo surround sound. And I didn't have to worry about getting up early for school, since it was the middle of the Summer. Ah, the good ol' days... Mr. Green
