Sorry for the double post, but this is thread related and junk.

Where is King Esselar? Elesser? I cant spell it, but he had the bumblebeeman Icon, and was a moderator

He disappeared oh, about, 2 years back? He used to poke his head in about once every month or three, but I don't think he's been back since the board restart.

Damn. Well I guess its bound to happen to some of us... we lose the time, we get responsiblities, the world ends, stuff like that. We're kind of like a loose fraternity.. a brotherhood... a fellowship, and sometimes life gets in the way and we gotta pick ourselves up and move on and remember the good ole days while enjoying the new ones. Still, it feels like losing something important, having those that were board mates with me when I didn't know anything about message boards (not that I really do now) not be around. I miss their humor, and their charm and guidance. I guess I never really thought of them as people that posted on the board... I thought of them as sagelike elder wisemen, who knew everything there was to know about anime and being just plain hilarious. As I myself have changed and grown, I too have watched others do the same, this is especially clear since my 2+ years absence from the board. To see DP's differences, and Dreadnots maturity (when if ever, he posts), and Tyler's *gasp* more interactive nature, And Bono's scarily more funny than ever-ness, and many other subtile little quirks I see in the others I remember. And the numbers oh the numbers of posters! I remember when there were only about 75 of us! (that posted) It seems that with anime's growing popularity, so too has the number of people willing to discuss the art and I believe that to be a good thing indeed. So I say let us remember the fallen heroes of the past... but keep an eye on the future and delight in the present...

Let the good times roll.

a) How do you think we felt about your absense?

b) More people used to post. We have over 800 people signed up to this message board. About 30 post daily, probably less.

do you have any idea how many times we've all thought "where did martin the wise go?"

I know I always felt close since the whole link thing, I'm gonna name my first kid link, if its a boy of course. That and we started the bar in the dougisfunny Vs Dreadnot thread, which was of course the most epic fight thread ever. heck it started the bar...

but you'd been missed
as have so many others

yeah, I mean, Martin the Wise we all wondered where you'd gone practically every month ^^

So it means I'm not the only one who's felt the whole TDA-brotherhood-we-miss-you-when-you-are-gone-because-of-the-old-days-we-are-like-a-family-thing. Don't you think all of us old board members are sort of like...I don't know, there's a whole bond thing to this board and we seem to always end up here 0_0

there is a reason I've never left despite not having cartoon network anymore and having just about no knowledge of anime/toonami stuff

Ah yes. I think that happend to me once.

On a slightly more serious note, its not that I didn't think I was missed... it was just a thing that occured to me and I thought I would share.
