Not really seeing as I don't even have the GBA connector. Just do some exploring around the smaller islands and submarines. Plus there are quite a few minigames on Windfall Island, and you can go fight your master back on Outset for a heart piece.

Oh and i'm sorry about the accidental spoilers, next time i'll figure out how to use the spoiler tags.

well after you get the trifroce of courage your taken on a hairraising adventure throguh the city of magopolopolis where you have to rescue link's aunt thrice removed from the evil clutches of bill. Afer you do that you get the triforce of small rocks and the slave sword. It's increses links ability to pick cotton by 600%. It's really good for the cotton picking mini quest later on in the game towards the end.

Konami officially announced months ago that it would be bringing Bloody Roar Extreme over to the Xbox. This evening, while updates on the game are still somewhat scarce, it seems that a release date for the game has at least been pinned down. According to Konami of America's updated release schedule, fans of the series waiting for the game on the Xbox will only have to wait until May 27th. Bloody Roar Extreme is loosely based on the past GameCube and PlayStation 2 versions of the game, and revolves around people with the power to turn into animals. After persecution from those that don’t have the ability, the people move to their own island and form a country called Zoanthrope, a country that becomes host to a tournament.

On Friday Midway announced development of ESPionage. This morning, in a report coming off the heels of various retail listings and other indications showing development, Midway has officially announced development of SpyHunter 2 for the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. Set for release this fall, SpyHunter 2 once again has players battling as Alec Sects as he fights against new terrorist threats. The game will make use of the customizable G-8155 Interceptor with various new transformations including 4-wheel drive, motorcycle and a snow ski. SpyHunter 2 will also include 16 missions spanning four areas, eight all-new Nostra/Phoenix enemies, and new weapons such as armored shields, land mines, smokescreens and oil slicks.

Around the time Sega pulled the Dreamcast, well shortly before hand actually, it was revealed that the company also planned to pull its publishing division in Europe, with publishing of its titles in the region being handled by such companies as SCEE and Infogrames. This morning, following more than a bit of talk on the issue, it was revealed today that Sega Europe has re-launched. The new Sega Europe will have two offices across Europe, one in Chiswick (London) and one in Paris (France). Moreover, the company’s looking into distribution agreements for PAL territories including Australia and New Zealand.

Along with the announcement confirming Sega Europe’s return, dates for a few upcoming titles were also revealed for the region. First on the list is Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II for the Xbox. The game’s set for release during May 2003. This will be followed by Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut for the GameCube in June, and Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution for the PS2 in June.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bethesda Softworks and Disney Interactive today officially announced that Bethesda Softworks will be publishing the game based on Disney’s upcoming movie, Pirates Of The Caribbean. The movie comes from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, and Orlando Bloom. The game’s plot, as based on the movie, will revolve around a group traveling aboard a ship called the HMS Dautless that’s cursed as living forever as the undead. The game has players seeing out a treasure to undo the curse. Pirates Of The Caribbean ships for the Xbox and PC platforms in June, with the PlayStation 2 version following at a yet-to-be announced date. Check out the game’s newly launched official site for more.
With the planned merger of RPG giants Square and Enix just days away, the logo for the new company has finally been revealed. Click here to see the new logo in all its glory, or see how it looks at Square Enix's headquarters here and http://www.gameforms.com/gfx/squeenix/01.jpg]here[/url].
Some fans may be disappointed that it does not contain the memorable old logos of either company, but look on the bright side: it still beats Konami's new look.
Post subject: IGN had this to say about Soul Calibur II for the 3 systems.
Quote:
Yesterday, Namco invited a swell group of us press folk over to Shanghai 1930 in downtown San Francisco for some free food and drink, and more importantly, some quality time with a little game called Soul Calibur II. Perhaps you've heard of it?
After driving through some minor rush hour traffic, I finally arrive at the restaurant -- a posh, upscale Chinese restaurant near the bay. After snacking on some vegetarian budda buns and spring rolls, I stroll by each of the eight or so televisions running the game. All three versions looked remarkably similar. In fact, I actually had to glance down to see what system the game was running on. They really do look almost identical.
Visually, Soul Calibur II definitely looks better than the original Soul Calibur with smoother, more detailed character models, more sophisticated environments, and just more overall polish, but the jump from Soul Calibur II to Soul Calibur is not as great as one would expect. It's quite surprising how well the Dreamcast game holds up to the new game.
After getting a good amount of play time with each console version of the game, I came away with mixed feelings. In terms of new characters, Link definitely felt and played the best. He's quick, strong, and even has several projectile attacks. I overheard many people say that he was almost too powerful. Is he? Probably not, but it's tough to tell without knowing every characters strengths and weaknesses. Using the Gamecube controller was also a mixed affair. While one could certainly learn to use the GCN controller, the small d-pad and awkward button configuration made it the one with the biggest learning curve. Simply put, the GCN controller just doesn't feel natural when playing fighting games.
Next came the PS2 version. As mentioned before, the PS2 game looked almost identical to the GCN version and Xbox versions. Where the PS2 game had an advantage was in the controls. The Dual Shock controller felt most suited for Soul Calibur II's style of fighting. Also, as most of you already know, Heihachi from Tekken is the PS2's exclusive character, and frankly, he was my least favorite of the console-specific characters. Why? First off, he has no real weapon. This is supposed to be a Soul Calibur game, isn't it? While dealing a good deal of damage, his range was incredibly short, and he just felt heavy and unresponsive.
Finally I work my way to the Xbox version. I expected it to look the best, and it does, but the differences are so trivial and insignificant that it's almost not worth mentioning. Concerning the controls, the Xbox controller falls somewhere between the GCN and PS2 controllers. While the S-controller features a good d-pad and button placement, the controller always felt a little stiff and the d-pad is set a little too far into the body for my tastes. The big, hulky original Xbox controller actually felt a little better, but its buttons are so close together that it made pulling out combos a little difficult.
Like the Xbox controls, the Xbox-only character Spawn falls somewhere in between Link and Heihaci. He feels better than the Tekken veteran, but falls slightly short of the Hyrulian's responsiveness. I also couldn't figure out any moves that would incorporate his symbiotic suit and chains, which was a shame. Still, Spawn proved himself as a decent fighter in the Soul Calibur universe.
The other Tod McFarlane-created character in the game, Necrid, was somewhat of a disappointment. His visual design is too much of a contrast from the rest of the characters, and what's up with the big jewel on his chest? In terms of playability, Necrid falls in the stronger but slower category of characters. And although I did my fair share of butt-kicking with him, he still feels more like a filler character than anything else.
With all of the other people at the event, it was hard for me to work through any of the single-player modes, including the Weapon Master mode. I did see someone beat the game with Link, though, and as is Soul Calibur tradition, Inferno was the final character. Unfortunately, Inferno, who's had quite a visual makeover since his last appearance, is not a playable character in the game. Also like the previous game, the character endings consisted of little more than a few hand drawn images. When will the Soul Calibur series get the rendered endings that it deserves?
From my time with the game, Soul Calibur II felt like a deserving sequel. The game plays faster and smoother, and it certainly looks and sounds better its predecessor. I was sad to see some of my favorite characters missing, and the console-specific characters were a little underwhelming, but that didn't detract from the fun I was having while defending my thirteen win winning streak.
Yet again! More spoilers!! I hate you spookmonkey, you ruined the entire plotline of the entire game! I didn't want to know about the cotton picking mini-game, I wanted to find it by myself, but you spoiled it all!
But I already knew about the slave sword.
Ok, I'm done being a wanna-be pompous sarcastic bastard now.
Reports stating that the teenage market is the target market for the industry have been coming out at an alarming rate these last few weeks and this morning, coming in as the latest report, comes a new one from Jupiter Research. According to Jupiter Research, teenagers ages 13 – 17, while accounting for less than 10% of the U.S. population, make up 20% of the videogame audience. Titled, “Audience Benchmark: Teen Videogame Adoption, Usage and Preferences", the new report gives off a number of facts and figures, first and foremost being that female teenagers are an underserved group, while teenagers from low-income play games a lot. Specifically, the report finds that teens from low-income houses play videogames for an average of 9.7 hours a week, with teens from high-income houses play for only 6.5 hours a week. This comes on top of the report finding that 60% of teens from low-income houses own legacy systems, as opposed to only 37% from high-income houses.
Shifting over to gender, the report found that only 67% of females play videogames, as opposed to 95% of males.
There's like 5-6 people in my school that play videogames regularly and all but one are guys. Then again many people here aren't seriously low income families either, but most of the people who do play videogames are definately not low income families.
maybe it's the piano and tennis lessons...
just kidding, but I think in high-income families, the parents might want their sons and daghters to do something ELSE instead of games. Thus, less time. Then again, the tennis lessons just might be it...
