Little dishes suck, satellite itself does not. Where do you think your cable company gets its signals from?

My 10 foot fiberglass dish gets more channels and better picture quality than cable and little dish. And the picture is still good even with 3 feet of snow on the dish. And the guide stores 7 days of show info and is quite fast.

ON TOPIC:

I'd like to see Burst Angel or Kiddy Grade, but Adult Swim said they were too fanservicey. Those sissies.

I have one of the little dishes. And the only time i lose a connection is during an electrical storm. I've been in heavy snow storms where it kept going. Thats a myth the cable companies want you to believe. And i've been a DirecTV subscriber since I needed an antennae to get local channels thanks to a cable law.

Long live DirecTV

For [as]? Zeta Gundam's the only one I can think of, and fat chance of that happening. Razz

Time for her to get a new dish. It would make a great Christmas gift.

On the subject of Gundam:
When people in this country and the one directly to the north actually start to like it again and buy the merchandise (including DVDs), then we can talk about AS maybe, possibly, with odds against it of 3,720-1, getting one of the more recent series, which as of now include X, Turn-A, and Destiny, none of which are yet available in English.

The subject of Gundam and why it doesn't do well in the US is open to debate and scholarly research, which is well beyond the ability of anyone on this forum (as evidenced in particular by this thread). Despite that, I do have a half-baked theory on why there's lack of support for Gundam in this market: it's too light for older viewers, too heavy for for younger viewers, not "hardcore" enough for half the "otaku", and too hardcore for the other half. Wing had pretty boys (which isn't always bad, unless they have personalities akin to rocks, which these ones did), super-mega-blow-everything-up-gundams, and a story that made Evangelion interesting (ask about my opinion on THAT show elsewhere), thus it gained a wide fanbase. 'nuff said on that here, we can discuss the state of Gundam elsewhere.

So yeah, Gundam on AS is about as likely as Bono and Paperboy ever getting along.

A show that I'd like to see on AS is Initial D, but seeing as how Tokyopop screwed the show for reasons that are unclear as of now, putting it on in its present dubbed form would be an insult to fans of Japanese cartoons, Eurobeat artists, hip-hop/rap haters, and our lord and savior Sid Meier. No dice.

gundam is ok but the fact that there arel like 30 someting gundam series (and half of em suck) make the chance of ANOTHER one on AS or Toonami slim

cmon look how many have already ben there
Gundam (orignal)
Gundam 008th MS team
Gundam 0083 MS team
G Gundam
Gundam Wing
Gundam Wing Endless Waltz
SD Gundam
Gundam Seed
and more

i would LOVE to see Golden Boy on AS but the chances of that are NIL (too much nudity and innuendo Very Happy ) that show is soooooooooo funny probably the only show iin my opinion even funnier than FLCL... on the other hand i wonder why Akira hasnt premiered on AS ... Metropolis has why not Akira... and on that note wheres Tokyo Godfathers... i wonder theres alotta good movies out there

I believe the entire list is as follows:

Mobile Suit Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam 0080
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083
Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Mobile Suit Double Zeta Gundam
Victory Gundam

New Era Mobile Report Gundam Wing (meh with god mecha)
Mobile Fighter G Gundam (meh)
Turn A Gundam (fairly good)
SD Gundam (and whatever else in the SD universe)
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (awsome)
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (crap)

Someone correct me if i'm missing any. I'm not including the movies in the list.

Good question, probably because of violence, gore and nudity.

No dub = no sale.

I know where it's from. Infact I have it somewhere both that and the HCG for the 3 games... but that isn't really something I'm proud of... I really need a life. Crying or Very sad

I added larger avatars to my list simply for the fact that they will not always be there. I must have like... 30 or 40 avatars total in rotation. Gotta thank 4chan for all the crazy crap.

I just assumed it was always a 75 x 75 limit...

Nope you can use an avatar thats as big as you want, but only if you link it to an off site location. I realize how annoying large avatars can be but like I said, if it bugs someone, they can always hit F5 and change it.

I loved all of it... except for Kentaro's strange fetishes. The ending was especially good. I was really hoping it'd all be tied in at the end.

That was the list of all the Gundam Series ever produced... to my limited knowledge. Thus far I own only a few of those including:

the first 3 dvds of MSG
MSG 0080 Boxset
MSG 0083 Boxset
MSG SEED Boxset
NER Gundam Wing Boxset

This weekend, depending on whether or not Hastings still has it, I'll pick up the MSG 08th Boxset. On that note as well, if you have a Hastings near by, shop there. I have NEVER paid full retail price on any anime there. The most I have ever paid on a DVD was $23 with a normal retail price of $29. A good example is volume 4 of FMP! Fumoffu?. That only cost me $19 brand new.
