While other 4Kids Fox Box and Kids' WB shows have aired on Cartoon Network, they are at least one season behind the run on the blocks they premiered on.

So, while One Piece on Cartoon Network is possible, don't expect it until mid-late 2005 the earliest because it just started on the Fox Box.

Apparently the new REN & STIMPY: THE COMPLETE FIRST & SECOND SEASONS -- UNCUT are not exactly uncut. While the edits seem relatively minor, it's hardly a smart idea for Paramount Home Entertainment to release a DVD with "uncut" printed in big letters on the cover when there are obvious edits in numerous cartoons. I haven't seen a complete list of cuts yet, but some of the them are mentioned in this message board post. Also here is a letter from John Kricfalusi explaining his side in the whole matter.

Wondering where that Invader ZIM box set is that we mentioned back in January? Well, fear not! For TV Shows on DVD has the answers! The box, designed to look like Zim's base, is empty save for a bonus disc of unfinished goodies from the cancelled second season, as well as a bonus figurine of GIR, Zim's faithful, crazy robot assistant. In this way ZIM-ophiles can buy the box and stick their three already-bought volumes into it. It's set to come out on January 11th, and is now up for pre-order at Amazon.com. Don't already have the three ZIM volumes? No problem! Amazon also has a listing for a full 7-disc box set, which arrives the same day, and includes all of the above goodies, as well as the three DVD volumes. This ZIM-my behemoth SRP's for $129.95.

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence DVD
Release Set for December 28
October 20, 2004

Dreamworks has announced that it will release Mamoru Oshii's Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence on DVD on December 28. The film will be presented in 1.85:1 widescreen with a Japanese Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack with English subtitles. As has been the case with other Dreamworks anime releases there is no English dub version. Extras will include an audio commentary from Oshii, a Making of Ghost in the Shell 2 featurette and trailers. The SRP for Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence will be $29.99.

A number of other Ghost in the Shell items will be available by the time of the DVD release for GITS 2: Innocence, including several volumes of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex TV anime from Manga Entertainment/Bandai (one of the hottest anime releases of the year so far, see "Ghost in the Shell Anime Special Edition") as well as Ghost in the Shell (Second Edition) and Ghost in the Shell 2: Man Machine Interface (January) graphic novels (by Masamune Shirow) from Dark Horse Comics. Manga Entertainment is also planning a December release for a new Special Edition DVD of the first Ghost in the Shell movie with enhanced visual quality and Bandai America plans to release a Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex PS2 game in November (GITS: Stand-Alone Complex starts its Cartoon Network run in November as well).

Sweet! And only $39.95 list? Better than the $74.95 they wanted for the Giant Robo box. Razz

*was waiting for the sox set to get them all together*

as long as you got a good enough reason for not having them it's not heathenitude. After all they didn't say they would be selling the box (and stufF) on it's own.

and nobu, amazons price for the box itself is $27.96. Not 39.95 (you should know amazons crossed out prices are the original msrp's)

Of course I know that. That's why I wrote "list" price, not Amazon price. Wink
