as far as putting on pounds, maybe you should try to eat food at the school cafeteria more...

i remember in high school i was just shy of 180, and i ate cafeteria food every day...when college came around, i usually ended up eating back at home or at the mall, and by the end of the first semseter, i dropped almost thirty pounds...i've since gained back a bit, and my weight now hovers around the 165-170 range...

still, you don't want to exclusively eat that crap, or else it'll quickly catch up to you healthwise...pace yourself a bit and be sure to work out to harness the weight and you should be fine...

I shall once again tote the wonders of the "Dance-dance" diet. It's not really a diet, so much as an exercise program. It works like this. Play DDR at least once ever 7 days (twice a week preferably). At least once ever seven days, you should play for at least two and a half hours, constantly. No more than two ten minute breaks, and your time on the pad better add up to the 2.5 hours. No less. Doing this, I went from struggling to stay down to 220lbs. (at 6'0"), to eating whatever the hell I wanted at 180lbs. It really is an incredible amount of exercise. (And remember kids, keep well hydrated on the pad, and stretch before playing. When I first started I used to take in 96 ounces of fluid in my 3 hours play time. As you and your body get better and more efficient at the game, as well as heat management, this should drop down to less than a gallon for the several hours. WARNING: Don't play for more than four hours, unless you really know what you're doing, or you don't feel signifigantly fatigued. Trust me on that one. I know what I'm doing, and I can still hurt myself after more than 4 hours of play.)

I'm pretty thin when it comes to muscle, I barely work out, if ever. I prefer just excercise to lower my weight, and don't even worry about muscle gain.

That said, it's not a bad idea to have muscle on you, but if you want to gain weight..... Here's my plan. This is how I stayed a little fat during later childhood and up! (At 5'11" now, I'm 180 Neutral )

Eat lots of snacks and don't go out much.

That's it.

For losing weight...... I'd suggest not eating much aside from the traditional three meals a day. If you can, lessen the amount you intake during those times (I use to think that when you were full, THAT is when you were content...... I was wrong!). Once you stop feeling hungry (not stuffed) that's when you should stop eating. If you don't like boring excercise like sports (I don't blame you), and simple push ups, pull ups, etc, etc..... Like I don't, you can try something interesting like..... What Bono suggested, DDR! I've recently turned to that, and who knows! ^_^

Heh, a friend of mine used his $30 of easter money all on DDR. Let's see:

1. If it's $1 for 3 songs, and 30 dollars, that means you'd get 90 songs.

2. If the average song time is 2-4mins, I'll average it to 3mins..... This times 90 is 270mins!

3. 270 Mins = 4.5 hours!

To follow up on how much pain can be felt from that..... His feet and ankles were sore for two days afterward.

The interweb.
Just don't lay any of those guys' Digi Charat songs. The person who made those has quite obviously never played DDR, has less than 3 brain cells, and has never heard the song to which they made the step file fore.
*shudders* I still have nightmares...
