Question, however. There will be 3 double disc DVDs if I'm not mistaken, with either 3 or 6 eps per DVD. If is is 6, then thats 36 eps, and I thought that 40 were made. I could be wrong. But even if I am, and only ~35 eps were actually finished, or even 30, with all the bonus material, I don't see how it'll all fit. I mean, the Simpsons first season was, I think, 6 episodes per disc? Or was it 4-5 . . . I forget. But there were virtually no sepcial features. So how is everything going to fit?

My guess is they'll split it in half. Like Transformers Season 3.

I don't see what's wrong with it. On The Simpsons' complete first season DVD, there were 13 episodes in all. The problem was that only 12 could fit on 2 DVDs, so what did Fox do for the 13th episode? They spent extra cash on an extra disc and stored only ONE episode on the final DVD. Just ONE.

I think there were 32 episodes aired in all, or 33...or something like that.

32 < 36

There's plenty of space to fit ZIM on the last DVD, and if they decide to finish the remaining episodes (which I doubt, but this just a "what if" situation), Media Blasters can just stick an extra disc in the box set, just like Fox did.

There were completed, un-aired episodes. Hence my question.

Un-aired eps. That would be enough sweetness to rot every tooth in my mouth.

It is possible to fit 7 episodes on one disc (Family Guy).

Ahh. Cool. But then, why the bloody hell was the Simpsons First Season on 3 DVDs? That's a waste, no?

I forgot to mention that 7 episodes/disc doesn't leave much room for extras.

Well, that's good news!

7 episodes x 6 DVDs = 42

40 < 42

Since there are 2 episodes absent on the final DVD, there's plenty of room for extras.

There were virtually no extras on the First season of the Simpson's DVDs.

If the commentary is of enough quality and quantity (like it was one the sipsons dvds-- all of them) then I'm more than happy with leaving it at just that for extras. It's just about every anime release that comes with jack and or shit for extras. It's still fairly hard to find an anime dvd release with any really good features.
