Alright, I had to survive 48 hours without Viacom channels. But not Turner channels. I need my cartoons of the Cartoon Network and such. Why must this happen to me!?!?!?! Okay, I'm done. |

Ouch that sucks...too bad Dish can't stay on solid grounds with any channel they provide. _________________ There is limited intelligence in the galaxy, but the stupidity of the universe is infinite. |

Somehow I get the feeling that Time Warner Cable will never run into this problem. Just a hunch. |

Random Cable Bash...
"Cable Sucks"
Thank You.
I've never really liked cable.
Sure, you can get local weather and news for free, but I don't watch the news, I read it, and weather men/women lie.
The thing is, they both (they being the cable and satilite companies) both make bogus claims about things.
I've heard it said that cable has better picture quality.
But that can't be right, because they both get brought local by satilite
And satilite companies claim that cables really expensive.
But neither of them are cheap.
I just like satilite better because we don't have cable in our area. _________________ "If you've ever had your nipple bit off by a beaver, you might just be a redneck..."

Three words: C-band master feed
Better picture than cable and those puny little dishes.
Cheaper than cable or little dish because you can pick only the channels you want and not get stuck paying for channels you'll never watch.
And it's not going away. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Old Skool tech, the best kind.
Being able to pick up unscrambled network and syndicated feeds of shows, not to mention live sports action. Ahh, those were the days.
They use the big old 8 to 10-foot diameter dishes like the one in my backyard. Too bad my receiver doesn't work anymore... _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
