Anyone know where i can find relatively priced "Love Hina" and "Love Hina Again" DVD's or VHS tapes? Keitaro looks *Just* like me and acts like me too. My GF wants to see the Anime, and i want to get her the episodes. Dose anyone know where i can find a DVD or TAPE for a fair price?

www.deepdiscountdvd.com/ has them for about $18.00 apiece. Google is your friend. So is Froogle.

However:
If you choose to buy a bootleg because "That's too expensive!", you deserve to be taken into an alley, placed in a burlap bag, and beaten to within 1/2-inch of your life.

The people who actually make bootlegs need to be placed against a wall, shot, their corpses desecrated, then shot again for good measure. Razz

Here's something I found interesting for people that bitch about over-priced anime

ADV. is no better then a group of Nazis. Long live the fansubbers and Boxtorrents. They are a bunch of asses running a 50million dollar company screwing the little guy with 4eps. on a dvd for $30.00. They would do better and price their titles for under that price. To quote you get more flys with honey. Meaning keep the price under $20 and you get more people.

"They are a bunch of asses running a 50million dollar company screwing the little guy with 4eps. on a dvd for $30.00."

In Japan, DVD's sell for roughly $50-60 U.S. Dollars and feature only 2 epiosdes each. The price of DVDs in Japan are so redicuasly high because the production studios themselves are able to direct control the DVD release. ADV essentially charges what could be called 'bagian basement' prices in comparison to what the greedy Japanese companys charge for their own product in Japan.

You should also note that single sided, dual layered DVD9 disk can only store 113mins of video before it can no longer be at the maximum bitrate, meaning that when you stuff more than 113mins onto a disk, you'll start losing quality. Since the average episode of an anime is only 25mins, that means that once you start storing 5 episodes or more, you'll be losing quality. And that 113mins dosn't even include space for extras, menus, or trailers.

So next time you complain, think about that and kindly shove it ^_^

and BTW anyone that pays retail is a complete fool...

True dat. Cowboy Bebop, for example, is on 9 DVDs in Japan vs. the 6 we have here.

On a related note: FUNimation's DVDs are coded for Regions 1, 2, and 4. Series like DBZ aren't available on DVD in Japan, so the multi-region coding let's the Japanese easily import DVDs from the US.

Speaking of not paying retail: TRSI is having a 40% off sale on all Bandai DVDs and CDs (which includes Love Hina, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, and many other series).

Which means the Love Hina Perfect Collection works out to ~$90 before shipping. Cool

Eh, Right Stuf and AnimeNation for that matter aren't really that great. They're usually 5$ more than any other big store like DVDPlanet. Their only saving grace are these constant sales. Best place to go for deals is AnimatedBliss.com they list the prices for the top 5 dvd merchants so you can find the best price.
