"What constitutes true freedom?" This issue has more to do with politics than anything else, but it also branches a bit into philosophy. "What is freedom? Are freedom and peace one in the same? Can freedom be attained through war? How can peace and freedom be maintained if one is not prepared to kill for it?"
Since when did Wing ask those questions, or make people wonder that? Through all the screwed talks of pacifism, where did this come up?

It's called "elaboration on basic concepts." Of course GW didn't have characters spout philosophical gibberish like that. Otherwise it would be boring the the average viewer (and I pride myself on being non-average) and nobody would watch it. Instead, you have to look at the story's subtext and expand on it yourself. Try it sometime. It really pisses off authority figures when you start waxing poetic about "the tribulations of a society where blah blah blah," since you sound smarter than the people who make they rules they have to enforce.
