I couldn't find the music thread, so...

I've seen:
Korn
The Strokes
Rage Against The Machine
Tenacious D
Aerosmith/Kiss

Which bands have you seen in concert?

(No lighters needed)

i think this thread's got my name on it...

my lack of employment as of late has hindered my ability to attend concerts, but the past few years should hold me over for a while...

---
[Note: Opening acts listed are the ones I could remember off the top of my head, not those of any preference (though I enjoyed a few of them)]

2000:
- The Moody Blues (November) [extra ticket]

2001:
- Sammy Hagar (January)
- Lynyrd Skynyrd (May)
- Aerosmith, with Fuel (June)
- U2 (June)
- U2 (November)
- Lynyrd Skynyrd (December)

2002:
- ZZ Top (May)
- The Goo Goo Dolls, with Five For Fighting (June) [b-day gift for my sister]
- Rush (July)
- The Who/Robert Plant (July)
- Creed (August)
- Aerosmith, with Run DMC and Kid Rock (August) [8/13]
- Sammy Hagar/David Lee Roth (August) [8/17]
- Sammy Hagar/David Lee Roth (August) [8/20]
- The Who/Robert Plant (August)
- The Rolling Stones (September) [b-day gift from the folks]
- Rush (October)
- Tom Petty, with Jackson Browne (December)
- Aerosmith, with Andrew WK (December)

2003:
- 3 Doors Down (January)
- Bon Jovi, with The Goo Goo Dolls (February) [x-mas gift for mother]
- Def Leppard (April)
- Boston (June)
- Sammy Hagar/Lynyrd Skynyrd (July)
- Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band (August) [b-day gift for mother] [8/28]
- Aerosmith/KISS, with Saliva (August) [8/29]
---

so yea...the two big "realistic" acts i'm still looking out for are metallica and ac/dc, though if plant and page, van halen, or guns n' roses ever get back together, i'm there...

also, if futurama technology ever pans out, i would pay to see jimi hendrix's head play a show...

Mighty Mighty Bostones
Flickerstick
Virginia Coalition
Goldfinger
Brand New (My current favorite song is Sic Transit Gloria . . . Glory Fades.)

And the best show I've ever been to, with seats 4 rows from the stage (and no clue how I pulled that off), close enough to throw my Snapple bottle and hit him in the head, the one and only god among men, Ben Folds. Now I know, best show out of 6 doesn't say too much, but damn is that guy talented. The other concerts don't even come close. I can't wait till he comes back to my area.

Oh, and he has the BEST Christmas song ever. Download Bizarre Christmas Incident. They asked him to do a song for the next Grinch movie 2 years ago, and he didn't know it was a children's movie, so that's what he wrote. He later wrote Lonley Christmas Eve, which was actually in the movie.

Yeah, by the way, if any of you EVER have the chance to see Virginia Coalition (they aren't that well known, but they do travel about) GO SEE THEM. Insanely awesome. More energy than a pack of tigers sprayed with catnip. Not exaggerating.

I've never been to a band concert in my life so here's what I WOULD go to.

Coldplay!!!!!(if they're in the state I'll go)
John Mayer
System of a Down
Red Hot Chili Peppers(I've heard those shows are insane)
If the Seatbelts and Yoko Kanno ever had a concert in the U.S. I would camp out at night for tickets.

peace
